Yes their albums have diverse styles, but it doesn't mean they didn't have any songs with hip hop/strong concepts. Like B.A.P, they don't set their fixed concept, but they were still rap-based. And we all know why they changed their concept. It is very difficult to pull out a whole performance without any backtrack. Nari did very well she somehow reminds me of Hyuna in a good way. Serri and Euijin fit all concepts (as expected knowing the groups they are from) even though their voices are too sweet for these kind of songs. Mint and Hyosun always have a lot of energy, It is awesome!
The song fits their group so well. Not all have crazy vocals. Some high notes are not done well but their presence, the dance and most of their facial expressions are impressive.

That moment when Euijin didn't get much screentime but still many people praises her on how she slayed her part. As a fan of SONAMOO since debut that made me teary eyed. YESSS GET THAT RECOGNITION QUEEN!!! RISE HONG EUIJIN!!! RISE SONAMOO!!!!
This was IMO the best performance, the girls killed it all round. Anyone who thinks they’re over the top is nuts. Hyosun and Yuna got the most live votes and they’re going the hardest, the song is called crazy. Also Serri, Euijin and Nari nailed the bridge. They did really well, it’s a hard song to pull off but the girls really brought it.
I think a lot of peoples criticism (and mine to an extent) was that when 4 Minute did it they didn't need to try so hard and it felt natural. It's fine to go hard but theirs still a line and that doesn't change just because "the song is called crazy", and by Hyosun and Yuna "going the hardest", you mean screaming the loudest than yeah they definitely did that and i'm not surprised they got the most votes because they stood out the most and whether that was for a good or bad reason is completely a personal opinion and we can agree to disagree just though i'd make my (and a few other peoples) argument for why we think some of them were over the top. and FYI this was my favorite performance so i did still enjoy it irrelevant of my criticism it was fun and they had the energy (just to much at times imho)
All the stages for this mission were done on instrumentals only! They did not go to the studio to even record a chorus backtrack, adlip, nothing. A true live stage. The Matilda girls were talking about how surprised they were on vapp that they didn't have to go to the studio once and they are a vocal group.
Malliah Reyn lol bad? can you dance and sing this hard? can your biases dance and sing this hard? i agree that 2 of their vocalist are weak but the rest brought awesome energy to this stage.
Matcha it doesn't matter if you "sing hard" it matters if your good, and this was the worst cover I've ever seen especially considering these people were idols who already trained and have experience. And as far as my "biases" go I don't have many, but let's just say the original is always better. 4minute didn't have to rely on a tv show to get somewhere nor did they have to do flips and splits. Serri and Euijin probably stole the show most for me (and Mint at times). I think the "ttara hae" is really intense, I love it. Questioning the choice of Saebyeol fro the high note- tho she's usually good? I think they did focus a lot on the stage presence, and intensity, so people are being a bit too judgy for my liking.
Well Matilda is a vocal group maybe that's why they chose her to do the high note, but that's too high for her comfort range. I feel sorry for her cuz she actually sings great.

I'm still watching this on repeat, this group could've been super popular and well successful I would think because of their energy and their talents and beauty mixed all together.
The Unit is doing perfomance with both dance and vocals / rap without any backtrack. Still need to consider: 1) The songs they perform are not written for them, that the original singers chose these songs because they are suitable for them. 2) They had much less time to prepare than the original singers. 3) I'll say it again, it was 100% live without a backtrack Considering all this, the level of performances in general was decent and it really shows the ability. And if we compare it with MIXNINE... many people may do very well because the focus only one point, such as singing, dancing, rap + backtrack. The difficulty is different. Crazy > Boombayah (Mixnine), because they sang without backtrack + dance, and they nailed it > just danced without singing, although they showed good results, but they just danced and therefore the difficulty level differs from the crazy performance. Things is thought, that's what they were supposed to do on mix nine. They focused on one thing. You can't fault them for doing what the mission was. They did their dance performance which was their mission.
Yuna, Hyosun and Mint stole the show for me. My goodness. Where's my wig. HELL, Where the hell is my scalp? It was like the spirit of Hyuna totally took over them. Would have loved to see her see them do this.

All the stages for this mission were done on instrumentals only! They did not go to the studio to even record a chorus backtrack, adlip, nothing. A true live stage. The Matilda girls were talking about how surprised they were on vapp that they didn't have to go to the studio once and they are a vocal group.

Matcha it doesn't matter if you "sing hard" it matters if your good, and this was the worst cover I've ever seen especially considering these people were idols who already trained and have experience. And as far as my "biases" go I don't have many, but let's just say the original is always better. 4minute didn't have to rely on a tv show to get somewhere nor did they have to do flips and splits. Serri and Euijin probably stole the show most for me (and Mint at times). I think the "ttara hae" is really intense, I love it. Questioning the choice of Saebyeol fro the high note- tho she's usually good?

All of the girls ate this season tbh, every performance the girls had were very memorable
The Unit is doing perfomance with both dance and vocals / rap without any backtrack. Still need to consider:
1) The songs they perform are not written for them, that the original singers chose these songs because they are suitable for them.
2) They had much less time to prepare than the original singers.
3) I'll say it again, it was 100% live without a backtrack
Considering all this, the level of performances in general was decent and it really shows the ability.
And if we compare it with MIXNINE... many people may do very well because the focus only one point, such as singing, dancing, rap + backtrack. The difficulty is different. Crazy > Boombayah (Mixnine), because they sang without backtrack + dance, and they nailed it > just danced without singing, although they showed good results, but they just danced and therefore the difficulty level differs from the crazy performance.

Things is thought, that's what they were supposed to do on mix nine. They focused on one thing. You can't fault them for doing what the mission was. They did their dance performance which was their mission.
