This is such a meaningful performance, it's a homage to the victims of the Sewol sinking tragedy, CL had a sore throat, she avoided speaking during the whole day in order to make this performance and became voiceless after it while Park Bom was dealing with her lymphadenitis, you can see a growth on her throat, but still they ignored their heath condition to sing for the ones that could no longer come back home and comfort the ones who could never see their loved ones again. You can see that they're in pain, not only physical but also emotional pain, they were also grieving. This performance always give me goosebumps, it's so emotional.
Respect for CL for being the best leader and taking responsibility for everything, carrying everything in her back. Respect for Bom for literally being the punching bag of knetz in this group and getting back up even if she's literally being taken down by people. Respect for Dara for being the biggest Blackjack, the one who loves her members eternally and giving her best in everything for us. Respect for Minzy for enduring and sacrificing her youth to debut in 2NE1 and being the talented and grown woman she is now. Respect for 2NE1 for making an impact in this world, no matter how they ended, they will always be the legends they are. I love them so much and will forever love them.

Four years ago on a day like today the Sewol Tragedy Happened... 16/04/2014-16/04/2018. I didn't see anyone talking about WHY 2NE1 Are singing this song with those yellow ribbons...
More than 400 people, mostly students, were on that ferry on a trip to Jeju Island, from what I remember. There was way too much cargo (way more than allowed), and I think the captain also took a turn too fast, and the ferry tilted and was sinking. The captain/crew told the students to stay put since moving would be more dangerous (they should've actually gone to higher ground or at least jump in the water and swim away) until further notice, which never came as the captain left the ship by himself, and they listened. There were a few that jumped, or in any case managed to get rescued, but most died, trapped in the sinking ferry. By the time they realized the danger they were in and that the captain's words put them in a worse situation, it had already been too late and most died. As the ferry tilted, people fell and were hurt by the objects. They did put on life vests if they could, and some managed to float to the door and get on the hallway, but there was panic. Children messaged their parents and loved ones, telling them they love them and that they might not see them again. People missed their friend's extended hands as they fell. They were trapped, waiting for their deaths. It was an absolute tragedy. Divers had to get floating bodies out of the rooms, bring them home. People were crying, screaming in pain, waiting in line to identify their child's corpse...It was horrific. ------------------ Sorry for the novel, I suppose you must've already read about this, but maybe someone curious will see it; I hope I got all the facts straight. Btw, the yellow ribbon is a symbol in memory of the victims and families of deceased. Now go watch something happy :)

I was asking myself that, what happened?
More than 400 people, mostly students, were on that ferry on a trip to Jeju Island, from what I remember. There was way too much cargo (way more than allowed), and I think the captain also took a turn too fast, and the ferry tilted and was sinking. The captain/crew told the students to stay put since moving would be more dangerous (they should've actually gone to higher ground or at least jump in the water and swim away) until further notice, which never came as the captain left the ship by himself, and they listened. There were a few that jumped, or in any case managed to get rescued, but most died, trapped in the sinking ferry. By the time they realized the danger they were in and that the captain's words put them in a worse situation, it had already been too late and most died.
As the ferry tilted, people fell and were hurt by the objects. They did put on life vests if they could, and some managed to float to the door and get on the hallway, but there was panic. Children messaged their parents and loved ones, telling them they love them and that they might not see them again. People missed their friend's extended hands as they fell. They were trapped, waiting for their deaths.
It was an absolute tragedy. Divers had to get floating bodies out of the rooms, bring them home. People were crying, screaming in pain, waiting in line to identify their child's corpse...It was horrific.
