Actually that’s true. For my sisters primary school they ban pencil cases also bags. These days children are obsessed with those smuggle or smiggle backpacks and pencil case that cost so much and a lot of kids felt left out. My sister even pressured my mother to get one when she couldn’t afford it. So they just have the same backpack and school pencil case but kids can decorate it if they want. It’s way better tbh

It reminds me of a light debate I had with my friends who were anti-school uniform and I was pro-uniform. My argument was the same as in the video that uniform helps students who can't have nice clothes to not feel left out and my friends' argument was that uniform restrict freedom of expression.
I personally concluded that none of us was right or wrong 'cause everything comes with its advantages and disadvantages.

@@I.YanaCeee the uniforms aren't the problem its the lack of self expression. kids need to express themselves and its alright for the kids who can go out and have fun but the ones who only get school time to be able to find themselves struggle and they are usually the poor kids or ones with good parents like myself i was poor and lived in a bad area so my parents never let me go out on my own or experience life because it was dangerous. we also had no money for school trips so the only time i had to express myself was a school. i remember getting my first expensive pair of shoes, they were doc martins, and my parents had saved up to buy them me for Christmas and then after a couple of months the school had told me it was against the rules to wear them, even though every other kid could wear them, at that point i got very depressed and it just felt so degrading as someone who already had no control over anything in their life i thought i had control over my shoes but not anymore that was also taken from me. in either situation its bad for kids.

Damnn I cant relate to this. During exams, my school needs us to use transparent pencil case for teachers to check so I had a transparent box pencil case for most of my school life. When it broke, I couldnt even be bothered and placed my stationery inside a clear plastic bag until graduation 😂

My school gave all the students a binder that had our school planner, a section for each class or for student/parent conference, a small stack of paper and a clear plastic pencil case. It was required to have it with us and honestly, it was the best because it gave all of us the things that were necessary for school and we wouldn’t judge others which worked alot

I was too busy being upset that they had way cooler pencil cases then we did as kids in the U.S.! I feel cheated!
They still have cooler pencil cases than the U.S.. While attending KU it was one of the things I adored.
