    OK Tana is great, Obsidian is great, Logseq is fabulous... Beware of the temptation of the shiny object! And eternally testing new applications... I've been Focus on WorkFlowy for two years, I have 300,000 words and around 33,000 bullets...

    I find it annoying to bring Tana to all KRplusrs and pretend it is available to everybody. What should we do with all these training videos without access?

      Tana like Routine are great apps but are not likely to get launched. What is the danger of opening up access to anyone who wants to test it out. If it's good enough for these youtubers then why isn't it good enough for everyone else. I hope logseq makes supertags and livesearch so it draws in those who tana is keeping out.

    • @ToriZealot
      @ToriZealot λ…„ μ „ +2

      @@fms6306 If Supertags are useful, there will be attempts to bring this functionality to Logseq or Obsidian. If they wait to long, there will be Logseq plugins available before they grant access to the public ;)

    I've signed up with Tana more than a month ago and have not had any response from them whatsoever. I echo some of the comments below. What is the point of these training videos when we can't get access to the software. Very annoying!

    Why call them supertags when functionally they're metadata tags?

    • @BrageBang
      @BrageBang λ…„ μ „ +1

      Hi Margaret πŸ‘‹ My take; there are a lot of terms they could have used, but supertags convey in a good way that these are first class citizens of the platform. You can add anything to a supertag, up to and including live-searches finding any relevant information to the tagged Objects in real-time. It feels *super*-powered to use, if that makes sense?

    The last guy gave the best review, with proper information and criticism. I wonder why he's at the end. Anyway, I find these tools so damn complex, I bet no one who uses it have ADHD. It gives me physical discomfort just looking at the UI. Looks like there's dozens of UI elements for each piece of user content, the signal to noise ratio is absolutely terrible. Just for comparison, take a web dev software pipeline: inspector, IDE, terminal, file browser, graphics software - the sum of the complexity seems to me lower than these apps (and you are developing complex systems). Same thing with game design, graphics design, day trading, illustration, data engineering, etc, etc. And all this complexity for what? Simply taking notes. God damn, this is soulless, irremediably bad design. Most people who changed the world just used pen and paper, think about this before you become a productivity masochist…

  • @kumarnilesh
    @kumarnilesh λ…„ μ „

    It goes against the rules of simplifying everything. It's better to use specialized apps (rome/obsidian + notion) than Jack of all trades master of none.
