디디를 보면 정원이 진짜 신의 한수인거 같아요. 나이가 들수록 활동량이 적어져서 자연스러 운동량도 즐어드는데 정원 덕분에 운동도 많이 하게 된거 같아요

No matter how many times DD shows the younger cats how to open the door, they never learn how to do it themselves. This skill is exclusive to DD.
And he is the garden's gatekeeper, the cats get more outings because of his nagging.

I am really surpised not even one of the other cats learned how to open the door thanks to DDs many examples. Animals learn watching others and as housecats they have enough time to try it out and learn how to open the doors themselves. I wonder if they simply don´t see a point in learning it?

Momo has learned doors from DD, and someone else mentioned Clair noted TT and Lala could also free themselves when behind closed doors.
Knowing how isn't enough in itself. I think DD impetus the others lack is the curiosity.

@@PentragonCosplay One of my cats learned how to play w/a puzzle toy that has tube that flip over. We didn’t teach our senior cat how to play w/this toy (we got it for our little boy because he gets bored easily).
However, we think Nixie learned how to play with this toy because she was impatient for him to play with it and she was***very*** food motivated.

I think DD new playground are the kitchen and garden. He has lost interest in others aka toys. I love the garden that Claire set up. It gives fresh air to the cats (without really venturing to the streets) and more lifestyle variety in their lives.

I'm not sure if it would be a good or a bad thing if DD manages to figure out how to cook meals for himself. As long as Lulu (or LaLa and DoDo) doesn't manage to work out how to use your credit card and Amazon, you should be fine. Your garden looks amazing. Hard work and clean living pay off.
