About Key & Peele:
Key & Peele showcases the fearless wit of stars Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele as the duo takes on everything from "Gremlins 2" to systemic racism. With an array of sketches as wide-reaching as they are cringingly accurate, the pair has created a bevy of classic characters, including Wendell, the players of the East/West Bowl and President Obama's Anger Translator.

#KeyandPeele - 코미디
I worked in radio for 7 years. The change is accurate. No one is "on" when the mics are off.
Really? So they are basically performing like an entertainer when on air? Didnt know that, always thought they were natural talkers. Its impressive that they can turn it on and off like that.
@@olliefoxx7165 Natural talkers means they're natural at it so they can turn it on/off at will. What you mean to say is you thought that's the natural way they talk (implying it stays the same off-air)
@@7-up813 Yes. You got it. So, can that be taught? Can a person act like a natural when they are shy? Where do you think they teach that? Journalism or broadcasting in college?

I swear, the second the recording light turns off, the smile disappears faster than you can blink. It's like their soul and energy drains out instantaneously.
Very interesting comment. And it totally makes sense: nobody can have that high energy without a reason (if they are not on cocain). So they obviously are faking it, just like narcissistic people fake their own facades.
It's a pity, that our culture values those "facades" no matter how unnatural and fake they are.

I've worked in the radio industry for over 10 years and can confirm that this is 150% accurate😂 Sometimes the silence is due to some tension caused by an argument that may have happened off air during one of the ad breaks.
How do you get in to the radio industry? For years I've been told that I have a great radio voice
@@MythmasterFunky I started my radio career as a marketing and public relations intern back in 1999. Back then, to be an onair presenter a tertiary education was a prerequisite (a teaching diploma/degree was good enough), you had to be well-read, smart, have a great voice; and campus or community radio experience was a huge bonus. Looking back, most of my onair colleagues were lawyers, law students, teachers, pharmacists, medical students, and they all had worked on campus radio while at University. Unfortunately these days radio stations hire social media influencers who know NOTHING about the art and science of radio presenting or the radio industry as a whole. The assumption is that having millions of Instagram followers translates to an increase in radio listenership. It couldn't be further from the truth. Social media influencers are really killing radio in my country (South Africa). Most are superficial and shallow airheads.
@@MythmasterFunky Intern at a radio station. I personally just pitched a show idea to a station manager. He had me get in a booth so he could hear how I'd do the show, or read their spots (commercials). I got hired on the spot. But it took months of learning from a more experienced on-air personality for me to really get good at it. Just understand, the pay isn't good unless you 1. Get requested to do live remotes (broadcast live at events), 2. Get requested specifically to do commercials, 3. Get your show syndicated to different stations in different cities. And the corporations that own stations are notorious for staff cuts. Fantastic job, not really a full-time career.

I remember on the morning show I always listened to, they brought in a new host and they were chit chatting with her talking to her about her experience so far and one of the things she said, you guys are so quite when the mics are off!! At first, it did not make sense to me and couldn't imagine it, but one of the guys said to her something along the lines of, we're saving it all till when the mics are rolling. Makes sense. They earn their money to talk, so talking when the Mics are off is sort of wasted money. Like throwing dollar bills.
That girl has such a beautiful smile ❤️
I worked on talk radio for years and can vouch for the silence during the commercial breaks. We saved every bit of energy and convo for the air. Talking AND being entertaining for 5 hours a day is a lot trickier than people may think.

This further proves that everything is simply just A Show and everyone in entertainment is playing a character
I think everyone puts on one mask or another, every day, when we leave our homes. It's not just "everyone in entertainment", I think it is all of us. I know that I am not the same me when you compare the at work me to the at home me. Life is a show and we are all just poor players strutting and fretting our hour on the stage, to badly misquote Shakespeare.
The people with social anxiety (me) never got the subconscious memo to put on a mask when going out into the world. No wonder why people with social anxiety think of themselves as weird and can’t fit in and that everyone’s got this life shit down packed, lol
@@sam21462 I dont think so. We may be a little more polite or smile a little more when we are meeting people. But in life sooner or later our true selves come out. What we see on tv and hear on radio is nothing but 100% a character people play for money.
@@HarmonyJt Everyone is weird in one way or another. We all have personal issues. Too short, too tall, fat, skinny, smedium, teeth, hair, balness etc... Dont let your anxiety get to you too much. I know everyone is different but dont let it get to you. Sometimes we are our own worst enemy. Our minds can drive us humans nuts with the what ifs. Try to overcome small things until you can try something bigger (baby steps). God Bless.
