As someone who works in a nursing home this is really heart warming. People with dementia, often calm down through some physical contact, like holding their hand or sitting a bit closer to them. Dont ask them many questions or tell them that they are wrong as this will confuse them more, in this case you could tell them "they went to the grocery store, lets go there" and then go somewhere warm, while you wait for the police. And depending where you live you might also want to call a local nursing home to ask them if they are a resident there.

저도 어느날 길을 걸어가고 있는데 어떤 치매 걸리신 할머니가 서울로 데려다 달라고 하시는거예요. 제가 사는 곳은 용인이거든요. 그래서 이곳에서 혼자 가시는 건 어려울거라 말씀드리고 집이 어디시냐고 물어보면서 데려다 드릴까요 물어봐드리니 집에 가기 싫다시면서 집에 가면 또 할아버지한테 구박받고 음식만 하게 될거라고 이 영상과 똑같이 우시더라고요....그리고 남편분을 계속 찾으시길래 전화 번호를 알려주시라고 해서 통화 후에 데려다 드리는데 그 가는 길에도 집에 가기 싫다 싫다 계속 반복하셔서 아파트 13층 집앞에 도착했을 때는 진짜 이렇게 데려다드려도 옳았던 걸까 혹시나 정말 집안에서 불화가 있었던건 아닐까 싶어서 약간의 의심의 눈초리를 보내니 그 남편분, 할아버지께서 함께 찍으신 사진을 보여주시더라고요...또 알아보니 제 다른 친구도 같은 경험이 있었고요...새삼 저에게도 이런일이 생기나 싶었었는데 이 영상을 보니 생각이 나네요... 지금 생각해보면 잘 행동 했던 것 같아 뿌듯하기도 하고 앞으로도 도움이 필요한 사람이 있다면 지나치지 말아야겠어요.. 저도 언젠가 도움이 필요한 사람이 될 수 있으니까요

My grandfather was a patient of alzheimer and I can relate to how anxious he would get at times. I am so thankful to all the youth who came forward to help. Maybe we do have hope left in this world.
My grandmother has Alzheimer's and I worry about her all the time. I called her after I watched this. I miss her, and I worry about her, but it's good to know that there are people out there who look after the elderly. Every old person is someone's family and they all deserve to be treated with kindness.

I spent 25 years working in healthcare with Residents who had dementia and Alzheimers. This was often typical. So glad such caring people helped her. And they asked all the right questions. I always say you should be kind to everyone because some day you will have to rely on the kindness of strangers. It was so nice to see the younger people helping too, and I loved how the young man had his arm around her and was patting her arm to reassure her. Well done. :)

My grandma had alzheimer's stage 3 I loved her very much although i couldn't visit her because my parents are divorced i was in a country with my mom and my dad is in a country with my grandma
I wanted to visit her but she passed away.. hope she is resting in heaven she was in so much pain and she was so sick before she died

I cried so hard because all I pictured was myself at that age without my mother and I couldn't stop. My mom is my world and I tell her all the time that I want to die first because if she left me first I woldn't be able to keep going. That's how much she means to me.

The hospital let my grandmother who has Alzheimer leave alone from the hospital in a foreign city. It took us an hour to drive to that hospital.Grandma called that she was lost. She had somehow ended up back in the hospital yard.We don’t know if anyone helped her or if she got back alone. She did not remember (admit) that she had been lost. Now we learnt to prepare for the future.
But this event made us badly shocked! I hope if this happens in the future that people will be ready to help.
