HAHA I love how Kimono Mon was screaming her head off while catching the cockroach, and Sutan was so unfazed by it.
Sutan even complimented and comforted Kimono Mom for her effort to catch the cockroach.
The way Sutan reacted when she saw you scared shows how caring and empathic you are with her. She learnt that from you! She is a wonderful ray of sunshine!
And great to have around in scary situations. She's a boss.

Sutan must be the life of the party at the daycare. She's developing such a charismatic personality and seems quite advanced for a two-year-old. She's gonna be a star. I think these videos are teaching her those skills.
I’m a nursery teacher in the UK, at two years old Sutan speaks more English than many native English children, let alone a non native speaking child, so her Japanese must be exceptional. She’s very vocal about her wants and needs, and is very polite. She’s the kind of child we teachers wish to have in our classes, and Moe is the type of parent we really appreciate because we make each other’s lives easier.

@@Krispsandwich Singing "fly me to the moon" was certainly surprising. Now is the perfect time for Sutan to learn other languages so I'm sure Moe is teaching her all she can which is good since English isn't widely spoken in Japan.
Right? And she seems to think of filming as fun rather than something forced, unlike a lot of kids who are in their parents content.. moe is such a gentle mom and person in general, I don’t plan on having kids but if I ever change my mind I will look up to her as inspiration! Sutan is very well mannered and kind, the way she ask moe if she’s okay and compliments her shows what her parents teach her by their interactions. Moe talking about her relationship with moto openly also shows a lot about them. Moto supports moe in everything that she does, acknowledges the struggles of being a house mom and is obviously very loving and gentle to both sutan and her mom, this too has such a significant influence on a child and their development. It’s very nice to see everyone in this lovely family grow in their own ways!

When I saw how Sutan handled the cockroach scare and she helped you threw that, it shows how much parenting affects a kids future. This was truly an amazing thing to see. I would have reacted the same way you did!! I could tell you where trying to calm yourself for Sutans sake. She had no worries and helped you. It was so awesome!!!!

You putting it that way made me thought of the first time I went out of my country by myself when I was 14. I looked back every 10 seconds until I couldn't see my parents anymore.
Nowadays every part of that is reduced to a post-it note or a short message on WhatsApp. "Out of town until xx or Out of the country for research. See you later."

Two things. Sutan is one of the highest functioning 2 year olds I've seen. She really amazes me with her knowledge and abilities. Some of that is natural and some of it is a product of her environment. She has 2 wonderful parents. Lucky her. The other thing is I wish you luck in bringing to life the ideas that you have about your own food products in and outside of Japan. It won't be easy but with your tenacity and know how it is possible. 👍 Best of luck, Moe.

I'm a housewive, too. Taking care of two little girls (2,5 years and 1 years old), entire household and picking up husband from work is sometimes exhausting and people tell me that it's my duty to do all these things.
I also do a part time job when the girls are in daycare.

It's good to foster relationship with your husband. It takes a backseat when we have babies but as they get more independent, it's nice to have alone time with our husbands again. You are a great Mom and accomplishing so much every day. Don't underestimate yourself.

Growing up in a disastrous family made me tear up watching this. I can feel all the love and warmth, so peaceful and calming. Indeed! It is a bit of a bittersweet moment. It often makes me wonder how my life would look like if I had loving parents/safe, supportive family. In my home there was only stress, anger, belittling and tears of frustration. When I turned 20 and left that mess I had to learn how to live, how to love, all the emotions I am feeling, and how to deal with them in a healthy way. I am 27 now, and still not done.
Watching these videos is such a beautiful thing, knowing that there are kind, understanding families with children being so happy. You can just feel love and safety, everyone caring about each other. It's such a joy!

Moe and Sutan in "The battle with the cockroach!". So funny and sweet at the same time. Best part is when Mo was asking Sutan to open the bag and Sutan was worried that the cockroach was in the bag. She trusted Mo when she said it was not in the bag and opened it as quickly as she could. What a great team. The cockroach didn't stand a chance against the dynamic duo. Omg, I'm so impressed and proud of this little woman Sutan. She is so sensitive towards her mom when Moe is under stress for the insect. The "is it our friend" question was so pure and innocent, like only little kids can be. Based on how her mom reacts she understands how to see the world (and insects). Also understanding the mom's need to receive a hug and comforting words is so sweet and generous. Moe, you and Moto are doing such an amazing job, it is so inspiring for all of us to look at you and learn how to raise love in a little precious flower which is Sutan, day by day. I was really surprised about how Sutan reacted when Moe was so scared of the crockroach. She was so human and loving with her mom.... Sometimes kids tend to perform an adult role so they protect their parents as parents do with their children. You are such an amazing family.

Keep your chin up! I know what it feels like to be really down on yourself; sometimes they're wounds so painful, you can't think straight. And other times, they're wounds you swear you can't even feel anymore. If these videos are helping you get by, so be it. Let that happiness flow and don't let anybody else tell you otherwise. They don't know what's healthy or not for you because they don't know you. I've been told multiple pieces of "advice" through life that just made me feel terrible because people are terrible at giving it, but what makes life bearable? That little glimpse of happiness and joy that shows life is worth living. So go for it. Watch these videos if they make you just that 🤏🏼 much happier. And remember, you got this! Hands down 💪🏼

With Sutan at daycare it’s good for her to build social skills. It’s also good for you to have some “me” time, and for you and Moto-san because if he ever has the day off or even part of the day off it allows you both to have some quality time just the two of you. It’s wonderful that she held herself together at bedtime and then was ready to to read. I think that is because you have given her a routine that works and she has a loving family life.
