If that's what implied then climax has no logic or poorly executed. becoz thara knows anu is heterosexual and yet she proposed. It is not fair becoz just like u can't ask a homosexual person to be in a heterosexual relationship, u can't ask a heterosexual person to be in a homosexual relationship. Simple logic..!! Anu feels uncomfortable not becoz thara being a lesbian but becoz she asks anu to become her homosexual partner which she is not..!
So intention was good but poorly executed..!

காதல் என்பது உணர்வு சார்ந்தது, காமம் உடல் சார்ந்தது. தந்தை மகன் மீதும், தாய் மகள் மீதும், பெற்றோர்கள் பிள்ளைகள் மீதும், மனிதர்கள் தங்கள் செல்ல பிராணிகள் மீதும் கொண்டுள்ளது காதல் மட்டும் தான். இதில் காமம் என்ற ஒன்று வராது. அது போல் தான் ஒரு ஆண் தன் ஆண் நண்பன் மீதும், ஒரு பெண் தன் பெண் நண்பி மீதும் கொண்ட நட்பும் காதல் தான். அதில் காமத்தை சேர்த்து ஒரினசேர்க்கை என்று தவறாக புரிந்து கொண்டு இருக்கிறார்கள். காதல் உணர்வு சார்ந்தது அது யார் மீதும், விலங்குகள் மீதும் வரும். காமம் உடல் சார்ந்தது அது சில விதிமுறைகள் உட்பட்டது தான். இன்றைய தலைமுறை தெளிவான புரிதல் வேண்டும்.
