More than two decades have passed since Sarah Connor prevented Judgment Day, changed the future, and re-wrote the fate of the human race. Dani Ramos (Natalia Reyes) is living a simple life in Mexico City with her brother (Diego Boneta) and father when a highly advanced and deadly new Terminator - a Rev-9 (Gabriel Luna) - travels back through time to hunt and kill her. I won't lie the Rev 9 was an interesting Terminator being able to separate the shape shifting liquid alloy from the actual Terminator and control both at the same time
It'd be interesting to know what Rev-9 had planned after it killed Danni.....Carl the T-800 got the drapery business. I can see Rev-9 starting up a trendy vegan restaurant that also serves a wide selection of craft beers.....the endoskeleton works out back in the kitchen cooking the food while the liquid metal does front of house and takes the orders.

That's cause when the Rev 9 splits the robot part of him has the power of a T-800 and the human look has the power of a T-1000. That's why pops/Carl was able to go toe-to-toe with the Terminator (robot) part of him without getting swatted liked he would if they were combined

I love how at 0:59 you can see the endoskeleton shift gears on the truck. That shows you that the two models really are capable of moving independently.

Huge terminator fan. Understand people hate but I honestly think allot about this movie is really good
1:09 The Rev-9’s “attire” blows in the wind, and being alloy, it isn’t supposed to do that.
The idea of the T-1000 from T2 wearing a tautly pressed police uniform was ingenious; while it passed as clothes, it “fit” him snugly enough that we could believe he is one “uniform” piece, as if the blue painted onto his body.
I think it’s a missed opportunity to not have the Rev-9 (or any Terminator in the series) wear a border patrol or military uniform.
I love me some Gabriel Luna/Rev-9.

Plot aside, if there's one thing these movies always do correctly it's making their Terminator fight scenes very entertaining to watch, as well as having interesting Terminators.
The worse part about this movie is the vilain always get his ass whooped in every scene. His portrait is so weak.
What an interesting portrait of the villain. I always had thought the villain was always persistent which made it scary. The fact our heroes tried different things to take him down and the villain still shows up. Forcing our heroes to limit their choices as time goes on because of the environment they get caught in. lol, But Anyway, I agree that this sequel should have been stopped with Terminator 2 XD. Arnold was the best thing in the movie!

So yeah they had to make it look like it enjoys the hunt and like taunting them before killing. I think it's sentient, the way it spoke to the 800 (you and me we're killing machines) like it knows what it is thus no rush to kill, is unbothered by an old drunk lady and really doesn't give a shit about enhanced Grace's presence, most of the time it's Grace kicking its ass and its just focused on Dani, it barely fights Grace, it just throws her to the side like move bitch👹, I want that Mexican! All you ever had to do is cut the liquid part in two and separate the two liquid parts by a long distance.
You know I actually gotta give it to legion, if the skynet timeline didn't create Sarah (something they could not have planned for) the Rev 9 would actually have succeeded in its mission, something the T800, T1000, TX never even came close to. "When they start killing me, run" If Sarah didn't exist that would have been it.
Skynet did come pretty close even in the first movie, Sarah would've been dead in the club had Kyle Reese been a worse shot. And Legion came as close as it did because Grace, while tough, wasn't that smart. Had she thrown the first rod at the tire instead of trying to impale a bulletproof terminator they would've gotten away without casualties nor would they have needed Sarah's help.
@@user-cb4vt3qm3jThe idea behind throwing those rods at the Terminator was to lock it in place so when they eventually destroyed the lorry the terminator would have a harder time getting out of it and that would buy crucial time to make an escape. The Rev 9 should have separated in the very first instance so one could shoot and the other could drive .

Movie had great action scenes and a decent plot but that Mexican chick was extremely annoying and cringey at times. Especially when she gave that speech in the future and had cronrows. That scene almost made me throw up. But that Mexican terminator actor was really good, he reminded me of the T-1000 from terminator 2

Honestly the plot was the standard format of the Terminator movies but was awful for one reason - why KILL John Connor if you're just going to do the same plot anyway? And even after Skynet "succeeds" it gets REPLACED by Legion? Which now faces a NEW savior? So if they kill this savior, what happens? They just get another makeover, another savior? They started the movie by bringing in the stakes, and then completely failed to follow up on it, instead making it so there's no real stakes at all.

Surely didn 't mind female hero. Male/female would have been just as good. I didn't feel like it was trying to make a social point.
And the action/story kicked ass.
But I also really wish T1000 pops from Genysis wouldn't have been erased.

My problem with the female hero isn't the fact she was a John Conner knock off, it's the fact they brutally killed John off for no real good reason just so she could take his place. Like seriously, imagine if it was an adult John Conner who had to train and protect her instead of his mother. The killing of John Conner is the sole reason I do not like this film.

The negativity is mostly coming from this movie shoving political correctness down people's throats, some of us are angry about John Connor being unceremoniously killed off, then there's all the plot holes clashing with the lore of the franchise. There's plenty to hate as a Terminator film, I will admit it had some good action set pieces.
@@DeadEndScreamer Even in the action set pieces, there are lots of "Fridge" moments. Stuff that you might ignore or not spot on a first viewing, but later, you think about it and realize it doesn't make any sense. Mostly the issues come from lack of consistency with mass and momentum. The movie breaks it's OWN RULES far too often!
Look - don't get me wrong - I love the superhero genre - but I would admonish both writers and the people who design action sequences to re-take some classes on BASIC PHYSICS. Newton's laws of motion should always apply unless you have a specific reason to break them. This movie is basically too influenced by "superhero" physics to be believable as a Terminator film.
And don't EVEN get me started on the politics pushing. The "woke" garbage is destroying every good franchise out there.

Not TX though 🥲. TX is literally made to destroy rogue terminators / terminators augmented by the resistance. She is faster, stronger and tougher than any other terminators (possibly except T 3000) and she also have a lot of super weapons including plasma cannon, nanites that can control other machines including vehicles and a T 850. Rev 9 may give a tough fight, but it'll never win

Por ejemplo, cuando llega Sarah y avienta al rev9 hacia abajo del puente (en la escena de cine jamás se ve tirado al Terminator antes de aventarle la bomba, en esta escena extendida si se ve) cuando el Terminator mata al hombre de su camioneta en esta escena se ve como lo atropella; en la escena del cine no. Así varios detalles. Saludos Bro
