I'm biased, because I'm her Dad, but I think this is a great video showing a heartwarming cultural exchange.

She’s so cool and inspiring the fact that she taught herself Korean and is this good icon and legend

I’m so glad she talked about the shrinkage that happens, the struggle of stretching your hair only for it to shrink once it hits humidity is so real for us 4c girls 🤧

This is so cute. The guys are very respectful, but super curious. I love that pure curiosity and non-judgenental seeking of knowledge. They were so impressed she'd taught herself Korean "isn't she Korean?" 😂 Loved that.

This was a cool episode. They were so respectful in understanding afro-textured hair. Merlia was great at explaining the pure basics of natural haircare.

This woman is INCREDIBLY impressive! Like really, she needs her own show!

Towards the end, I just adored how softly and into it the guy with the blue shirt was with her hair. Like he was shaping it and touching it gently, most likely being impressed and intruiged by her hair. I love the respect. As someone with very very curly hair, it's nice to see someone respecting curls than just grabbing at it as if it's a foreign object

I love that they seem very sincere in learning about other techniques, and I love that she took the time to explain everything and allow them to get in there and try it out

She is totally my language goals. I'm so jealous of her ability to learn on her own and then be so fluent in such a short time.

Damn, she's giving a whole masterclass. Seeing her speaking Korean like this is inspiring. Good that she's helping hairdressers in other countries to understand afro hair types , too. Though I personally haven't set foot in a hair salon since 2008 and never will - had enough trauma. I've got a lot of hair and, after even my mum was struggling with it when I broke my wrist, I've come to accept the only person who can deal with it is me.

She did such a beautiful job explaining everything in a way that they could understand. She hit every mark perfectly, it is really nice that they were interested in learning and the fact that she reached out to them is so thoughtful. Enjoyed watching this 👏🏾
