I wake up at 5 and start my day diligently.
I've been doing Lucy's hairdressing at home for over a year.🐶
It's not as pretty as a beauty salon, but
It's nice to be able to make Lucy feel comfortable while doing the hairdressing.

@@sandrajenkins6822 yes, I have mixed feelings about those videos. I admit they are relaxing to watch but it has this setting of a woman being at home, getting up at a crack of dawn serving her husband and kids. I know it is cultural and what is expected in Japan. But...
I have been married 50 years and I just cannot see myself having such a division of roles with hubby going to work and me doing housework all the time.The point is that most women work outside of home and they are expected to do all the housework and child caring as well as a "perfect" woman and mother which is absooolutely wrong. My husband likes the house to be a bit like what she has, super clean and tidy. At the beginning he tried to instruct me how to do it , both of us were in full time employment, but as it is not who I am and what I wanted I resisted. Sooo... to get it he has to do it himself the way he likes it. I prefer to escape to the garden, cut the grass (still do it @ 70yo), trim the bushes, turn my compost, usually messy dirty jobs but I love it.😄

There is something peaceful & sacred in being a resourceful & loving housewife & mother. I know people hate that word “ housewife “ nowadays but I love it. Brings memories of my time with my mom till I was around 6 or 7 & she returned back to work. Those were special times, she was always so beautiful - never sloppy at all. Sometimes a couple of the other moms on the street would come over & they would sit in the living room & have coffee. Then my mom would continue chores & make dinner. But I remember especially that she would take the time to freshen up so she would look pretty for my dad.
She’ll be 92 this year. 🥰

The age that she is now, I bet she always dressed up to go out, even just to town. My husband's aunt taught me a lot of things like that. I was her partner in crime so to speak as her neighbor and we would drive everywhere together. I really miss her. I want to continue the tradition of how I learned to live in a natural way from her. Like gardening, cooking from scratch, canning, etc. My husband appreciates my efforts in that direction as well.

I have to be honest, everything look so peaceful, harmonious and beautiful, she do an amazing job for her family, I’m sure they are grateful, but otherwise it looks frighteningly lonely.
From my experience it's like waves, as all of life is. I mostly love all the alone time during the day to clean and organize and prepare meals as I see fit, having nobody around to micromanage. And any day with a dog isn't lonely by any means! :)

I played this video on my TV my dog was watching Lucy on the screen and when you give her a treat my dog run up and jumped up wanting a treat too. Your food looks so healthy and tasty! I enjoyed watching it was very relaxing your home has such a pretty and clam look.

I enjoy these vids for several reasons, mostly because of the lack of clutter and the mysterious appliances. I have to say though that if my husband thinks I'm getting up at sparrow fart to cook him a 3 course lunch he can find another wife!

Now, there's a cooler way. Sleep all day while your husband is at work and work/chill at night. Breakfast becomes dinner and dinner becomes breakfast. While a little strange at first, it does work. Of course, this is only if your husband can actually provide.
Probably worth noting Korea has one of the highest marriage ages and lowest birth rates in the world... most Korean women cannot keep up with this either nor do they want to. That said for the right person it is a wonderful life choice.
This was so nice to watch. And I can't even imagine how delicious your house must smell in the mornings! Beautifully packed meal. I feel very inspired to create more of this kind of routine. It's so comforting.

I’m not married but I feel inspired to do this for myself. To love myself enough to treat me this way. And when I do fall in love, it will be with a man who will treat me to the standard I have set for myself and in turn I will be ready to love him the way I’ve learned to love myself.
