Honestly you can tell how self-conscious Wonyoung is compared to herself in Izone, looking at the camera a few times before eating the strawberry which I assume is bc she wants to make herself appear ''perfect". She reminds me so much Song Jiah (from Singles Inferno). Theyโre both pretty to look at and are entertaining to watch but are incredibly vain and hyper conscious of how they look. IMO at least Jiah owns up to it and she acknowledges that sheโs pretty and that others think that too. I prefer that over Wonyoung who acts coy and shy over it. I think thatโs partly why there are some who immediately dislike Wonyoung based on her mannerism and way of talking alone.

Not going to lie I really adore Yujin and Won young together. They have stayed by each others side from the beginning. I always respect loyalty and love. Plus they are so damn cute it is crazy
I think itโs important to realize that wonyoung is acting like a lot of people would at her age, 17 year olds can be incredibly image-conscious, often times to a fault, and itโs not necessarily โfake,โ itโs just one of the trials and tribulations of growing up that a lot of people go through when theyโre about to enter adulthood and trying to figure themselves out as people, and I imagine being in the kind of image-demanding position that wonyoung is in probably doesnโt help, unfortunately for her sheโs having to navigate this part of her life in the midst of all the public scrutiny that comes with being one of the faces of her generation in her country, and all of those factors combined probably makes it really difficult for her to be whatever her โtrue selfโ may be and causes her to overcompensate by acting overly cute, and honestly I think people expect too much out of celebrities in general, the vast majority of people are going to have sides of themselves they donโt want to expose to the public and have a hard time truly being themselves in front of all the cameras, so I think to ask that out of wonyoung is a bit unfair, she needs time to work through this stage of her life, heck Iโm 3 and a half years older than her and even I havenโt figured out myself as a person yet, but unfortunately it seems sheโs not gonna have the kind of space I and most others have had to do so

I am the same age as Wonyoung and while I do agree that the hate people throw on her is over the top, I can't help but feel that she doesn't really act like those who are her age normally does, which might contribute to people thinking she is "fake". Some of my friends who are also the same age agreed with me that she seemed to force herself to act mature, which I believe is a product of years of pressure and attention from the general public. I do look forward to seeing the day when Wonyoung finally finds her own identity and can act naturally in front of the cameras though.

I saw on a Korean Forum from a Ex-employee she said that Wonyoung only eats regular food in front of cameras or when she knows reporters are following her but in reality she only drinks water with lemon and zero cal jelly drinks. She doesnโt work out only does dance practice and if thereโs a program that requires working out she practices those workouts beforehand to look experienced. It seems more believable everyday passing.

This is what happens when someone get into the work field too early. When other trainees are still training around her age, she was already touring asia with izone. She debuted too fast, she was supposed to live a normal student-trainee life at that age. I mean, debuting when youโre still 14 and packed with schedules and school will surely cause something to oneโs growth. And i think it happens to wonyoung, she wasnโt ready and not supposed to be ready mentally (back then).
Yujin was a similar age to her in Izone though, so wouldn't the same apply?
