But with this build there is almost no work to be done because ut says its a flooded vehicle but everything works and runs amazing.

I bought my Hummer H2 new in 2005. I still have it! Looks new. The most trouble free vehicle. LOVE MY HUMMER.
@@ericinmiami I wouldn't buy that I have an H3 bought it in 2015 with 59k miles and now i just hit 107k have sunk a lot of money into it. It's a car that I would say buy it if you really want it but honestly a jeep wrangler is a better option. Parts are cheaper because they're still in production. Hummer's are fun but aren't built great.

FB has a bunch of H3 Hummer forums. They do a pretty good job at locating past owners.
Have not gone through all the comments so pardon if I am repeating what someone else said.
The exhaust is not stock. Wheel well flares where stock only on H3 Championship Edition and adventure package. However, you could order them for any H3. The gobi rack, lift kit and ARB bumper/winch represent serious money put in this H3. I am guessing whoever had it took good care of it (fluids maintenance). Surprised it was up for salvage. Good find.
I suggest taking the seat covers off and the carpets out so you can double check for mold.
Insurance totaled it, but somebody put a lot of time and effort in that truck, good find, especially when you can do the work on it yourself that's a big Plus, that's a big come up, congrats
Definitely run a couple jugs of fluid through EVERYTHING to make sure the water comes out. That thing looks pretty bad ass though.
I notice that DAD didn't go through the mud puddles. I don't either, have to wash the vehicle. Great buy on the HUMMER!!! Thanks for sharing this story.

If that Hummer was flooded, then you need to check all your wheel bearings, CV joints, diffs, transmission case, etc for water and clean/re-grease, refill or replace as necessary. A friend bought a flooded Ford station wagon and some time later, the front wheel bearings failed, because they still had water in them.

Dennis, just be sure to check all your fluids, including trans, transfer case, and both diffs. Water in these, especially salt water, can be deadly to the car

I have a army green 2006 with a 3” lift, love it! Check them ball joints and tie rods out. Try go bad often

Better than a Jeep in stock form! Can’t beat the ride quality of the h3 in stock form
Check the leaf springs.they ten to break at the eyes. H3 out of the northeast will have all bolts frozen in the shackle and eyelet bushings. Fun to get out. Also check the front differential mount bushing. Flush all fluids at least twice.

Love the Hummer H3 also if your dad think's that is a tank I got a Hummer H2 and tell your dad that is like driving a tank the H2 is so wide it is almost impossible to park in a regular parking spot and actually open the door's and get out and it get's a whooping 12 miles to the gallon! Lol

Very nice. I have a 06 adventure package. Make sure to check out front differential bushing. It cushions in between diff and sub frame. It gets worn and causes a knock/ bang sound when putting in drive, reverse and driving.....

Would like to see you guys Fix it up, give it a detail inside out. Repair all those electrical issues. Repair the winch. Add a front light bar. Make the front camera work. Change out a new LCD. New leather seats. Plenty of contents and many videos on this. Can't wait to see it. Good luck guys!!

The Hummer H3 looks nice, but were weak on power. GM needed to put at least a 5.3 in those things.

No adventure package! What a shame! Lockers or go home :) This thing looks so slick! I'm jealous of your Rancho lift. I've been searching for one for my H3 for a long time. Front and rear lockers (front locker is from an 09 h3). It has almost as much clearance as one with a Rancho lift. Falls about an inch short though. I'm jealous of this thing!
The say "no recording" because they don't want you to have any evidence when they drive the forks into the tailgate of the vehicle you just paid for. Then they can say it was already like that when they picked it up.

I have the 5.7 with a tune and lift kit, Whole bunch of other additions. So far I’ve put about 25k into it. Love the truck as much as any of my bikes😃

nice I had a H2 Hummer for 7 yrs enjoyed it that H3 is sweeet i might get me another Hummer some day it just looks like somebody didn't take care of it I would service it change some parts and make that my daily driver

*LOL lot of dodge trucks at that copart picking up other vehicles! tells you that you got the right rig for hauling for sure! Hopefully that hummer has the 5.3L in it and not the 5 cyl so you won't have as much trouble out of it. AH DAMN stuck with the 5 cyl . hope it doesn't give you problems. you know that engine is plagued with issues, but not all of them are affected the same way. Sounds like you have a CV shaft that needs replaced. Seems pretty well sorted though. get the pops and snaps straightened out and it should be a good off roader for you*

Time for an LS engine and update the transmission. H3 wheel very well. I'm not sure how they rate for towing, but you have a lot resources for the H3 Alpha parts and aftermarket to swap out that 5 cylinder Audi engine. I owned a 2007 H3. Best off road vehicle I ever owned. Never got stuck, ever. I prefer the H3 over the H2 any day. Perfect size. Drove it through mush a couple of inches over the hub that would suck your boots off in 4 wheel high. Cut through like a hot knife through butter.
What fender flares are those? They look awesome. Haven't seen many Hummers with those. They're usually huge wide flares. Those look perfect👍
