Female idols have been objects for people to take out their frustrations on for years, and this tradition doesn’t seem like it will die anytime soon. I mean, sure, you can hold a female idol accountable IF they did something harmful or disrespectful, but if we’re going to do that, we should be fair and apply this to male idols as well. It’s foolish to only focus on one side.

I think Twice really lost their confident in encore stage since Onces aren't there to support them. You can see from More & More era they've been really uncomfortable and losing their confidence. It makes me so worried for them. besides that, you can see how stable they are in Likey encore stages, Nayeon even hit the high notes in Likey though. They just not confidence because Onces aren't there to cheer them up. I hope Twice can feel better and we're Onces need to boost their confidence so that they can feel more appreciated.

Like yes they are not the best vocalist in k pop but they were actually improving a lot compared to their debut days but after momo voice crack in more and more she got a lot of hate for her vocals and she was really nervous when her part came after the encore stage momo was trending for bad vocal along with twice and now in ICSM era people closely monitor each and every mistake making them even more uncomfortable
And JYPE should stop giving momo and sana lines out of their range like it’s too high pitch

BP are another group that had similar issues early on and they still get held to those shallow expectations “fans” set on them.
I’ve been fortunate to see them live 2 times now and the second time around they sounded brilliant which i did not expect after the somewhat poor experience i had the first time.
“Nursery rhymes” - except Jihyo is a ballad/soul style vocalist with one of the best vocal ranges in the industry and has done since before her debut with the group..

If you've received years of vocal training and still can't sing a (ridiculously high) note with at least 90% success rate, while just standing up holding a mic - the usual singing position - then this note is not within your natural vocal range. It is what it is. It's totally fine for soprano singers to not be able to sing ridiculously high notes.
Blackpink songs in general don't have nearly as many high notes as Twice, but are still extremely successful.
Gidle songs rarely have any high note (except that one E5 note from LION) and are very "mezzo friendly" to women with medium voices, despite them having two very well-trained soprano vocalists (Minnie/Miyeon). But they're also doing quite well.
JYP needs to just CHILL with all those super high notes, and give their female singers normal human notes to sing. Like, It's fine, really.

Also let's not forget that the train STATION has been a theme for SM for years....the SM station has been a place where artists and groups could showcase different concepts and more personal music experiences; I kinda see the train as the depiction of SM as a whole, since it's appearing in various MVs and concepts

Twice have good encores and stages where they proven their vocal abilities but antis don’t care and only pay attention to the few times they make a mistake. Like for more & more era momo messed up that one time and people dragged her so much for it and didn’t care about the stages after where she did her part perfect. The hate twice have gotten recently has been so much internationally and in korea of course they are stiff during encores and with no onces to give them motivation or to calm them. These things are only a problem when it comes to twice and it angers me so much because twice work so hard and try their best for their fans and do nothing wrong but these antis still hate.

Technically it is their producer not Aespa. The problem is their music video has a lots of plagiarism, THIS IS THE PRODUCER'S FAULT. People should really let aespa breathe peacefully, they just debuted. And if they gonna bash them, at least have some research, and not rely on hoax. Nowadays, we get too quick to judge and cancel people without even verifying if those rumors are even true, and if they are proven false, people who judged just acted like they are didn't do anything when they already made extreme damage to the girls.

I had a discussion about this with someone who works in gaming and they said that they reference to artists work all the time. That there's no way to give credit to all artists whose work they "took inspiration from" even when it's so obvious. And the both of us settled with.. then whoever uses other's work without permission will always have to have a backup plan for when if the original artist decided to sue them.

I'm not hating aespa, but it seems that SM has been having issues with where they're taking their inspirations from. I believe that they didn't intend to copy, rather took inspirations from, but sometimes you could take too much inspiration from a muse and when you put it on the plate, it ends up looking exactly the same. And this doesn't only happen with aespa. Nct's Ether teaser is known to be vveeery similar with DPR's Kiss MV intro, and the most recent is nct's resonance pt.2 jacket photo. I mean....if they wanna keep being original, someone's gotta fire someone.....
i think my problem with SM is i feel like they’re trying to take ‘inspiration’ from too many different places, like the KD/A thing, it was almost blindingly clear that they had taken things from that, and now I’m hearing about the Cinematic Universe? I think they know they might lose popularity and money if they don’t come out with something new, due to the fact that almost all of their extremely popular groups (ie super junior, exo, f(x), shinee) are almost gone. granted the still have soloists, but soloists can only take them so far, they have to have something else to try and keep people interested. when i first heard Black Mamba, i didn’t really feel like listening to it again to try and give it another chance, because i felt like SM was trying to combine their weird aesthetic with a badass one like YG. i also feel like their produces aren’t actually sorry about plagiarism, they’re sorry they got caught.

Yeah I agree, in my opinion SM did Aespa dirty, the girls deserved a better debut than they got.
