Searing burritos - breakfast or otherwise- is one of the greatest extra steps you can take to drastically improve your food. It adds flavor and texture and (especially with rice-filled burritos) makes it much easier to eat. I figured it out accidentally a few years ago while trying to seal an overfilled burrito closed. I’ve only seen two or three other people sear burritos since.
