as someone who went to art school and now works in animation, i know EXACTLY the type of dude who made this movie. This weird too soft rendering of downloaded and recoloured stock models is such a staple style of the toxic art bro. 😂
Would you happen to know if a lot of the animations are pre-made too? I just noticed that the movements the characters make when talking seem weirdly repetitive and out of place. Like, they often seem too refined for a production like this.

It has two other scenes. In one, it asks the kids to draw it some food, and they explain that they only work on commission and can't do any free art requests. In the second, the first drawing is going off to fight Mist, and Calobi says, basically, "You shouldn't fight Mist, but if you do fight Mist, especially don't take the beatboxing puppy". He's very specific about that. The first drawing takes the Beatboxing puppy anyway and they get knocked out of the sky by a giant evil whale.

I can’t believe you forgot the extremely important piece of lore (found in the description) mentioning that the beatboxing puppy is her sidekick.
That kind of makes it more confusing though, because (unless Kurtis didn’t show it) the puppy never shows up again despite apparently being important enough to be in the synopsis.

This movie legitimately feels like a dream. The plotline is constantly changing, things seem to happen for no reason, the words people are saying aren't coherent, nothing stays consistent. Like, this is the first time that saying something feels like a fever dream is entirely accurate

as someone who is interested in animation i do want to give the creator some props for animating an entire movie with two people. most animation teams have at least 50. and while this movie was...questionably written, i don't want to discourage independent artists. that being said, i don't think throwing 5 plot premises on the wall and hoping one makes sense is the way to go about it

Sorry to say, this movie was probably not animated by 2 people and it didn't take as long as they claim. They had "ohio" meme references, talked about AI, a subject that has only been in the public consciousness for a couple years if anything. The creator is definitely lying about how this movie was made. They're apparently a known tracer.

2. Characters contradicting conflicts that have just occurred
3. Kind of following the rules established but actually not at all

I don’t think its totally ai generated, but… there are signs that the creator at least used some ai writing. That or he really did choose to repeat the intro 4 times.
