Is the message that people find Drake clone rappers on lazy trap beats uninteresting? To me the main takeaway is that they put a ton of effort into using formulated marketing tactics on a really boring song, instead of just presenting 'guy in ski mask' and spending more time on the music.

I think you perfectly proved its not luck. Isn't it too easy if you made the right tik tok cause it fits the algorithm or trend and it blows up? You're right. It takes time to sharpen your skills. What do you view as success is a better question then. Sure, luck is involved, but there are plenty of people who sucked at something and became amazing. People drop out of school and become incredibly wealthy doing their own thing. Or an incredibly poor person becomes an amazing athlete. The point is that even if you have knowledge in the industry, rapping talent, good beats, and a great music video you still might not make it. These guys are literally pros and still failed on a song that is better than 99.9% of the songs upcoming rappers will be releasing and still didn't make it. That shows that even if you do everything right, luck is the final factor you have to have. You just have to have the skill to capitalize on it if it comes your way. Although if this kylastic person kept making more songs, they would have a higher chance to get lucky and eventually they could make it.
Really like the ending to this video, didn't play a hand of god like giving an extension period, just simply acknowledged the hard work it takes to create something and get somewhere with it. This was so inspirational i am a 37 year old rapper from Chicago been doing this for over 15 years now and probably have as many followers as Kylastic.. I know i make dope music but just havent invested enough in marketing and social media presence. What do you view as success is a better question then. Sure, luck is involved, but there are plenty of people who sucked at something and became amazing. People drop out of school and become incredibly wealthy doing their own thing. Or an incredibly poor person becomes an amazing athlete.

I totally agree with the fact that in order to succeed in the music, working hard is a must. But lucky is not just going viral randomly, is also being sorrounded by a lot of things outside the song itself. Where - when you born and raise, the people you are with, etc. Also I think its very importan the " " in prove its not luck, because you are not new at this, you been in music for so long and you know not only how to make music the way you want, but also what it's mor likely to go viral and the friend that helped you.

We know all the artists he’s worked with had a lot of potential just from working with him because of his understanding on everything. That shows that even if you do everything right, luck is the final factor you have to have. You just have to have the skill to capitalize on it if it comes your way. Although if this kylastic person kept making more songs, they would have a higher chance to get lucky and eventually they could make it.

Really like the ending to this video, didn't play a hand of god like giving an extension period, just simply acknowledged the hard work it takes to create something and get somewhere with it. I'm currently making youtube videos and trying to balance that with uni life so the message definitely struck something in me

Had a few of my beats blow up and Unaverage Gang used my beat for "Hope For A Lost Cause" then i went ghost. Now im back trying to find my voice instead. But this really inspired me not to give up. This was so inspirational i am a 37 year old rapper from Chicago been doing this for over 15 years now and probably have as many followers as Kylastic.. I know i make dope music but just havent invested enough in marketing and social media presence. Im self funded and independent and sometimes it just seems like you need a million dollar budget to be seen or relevant.
