I am also a Joyner fan, and I don't see a comparison between him and Kyle as valid because they have very different approaches. Kyle has a consistent message and he has to work within that message when writing lyrics. Joyner can go off the cuff with no consideration of ethics or how he will influence people. Sometimes Joyner takes an ethical approach, but most of the time he is focused solely on clever lyrics. My opinion.
I have also been listening to Joyner forever as well, but im not really sure about him and J Cole, I went to see him and Hopsin in Seattle and I actually got to meet Joyner at a meet and greet and he said that he is probably going to start music with Hopsin.
Everyone kept sleeping on Joyner, look at him. Now he's the one sleeping on those begging for another chance. Keep going Joyner don't let them slow you down.
@oMa Dynasty I don't believe mgk is on eminems level. I think eminem is over rated and mgk is under rated but I don't think there is any comparison. Overall eminem has way more good songs than mgk and I believe that in his hay day em would have buried mgk, but he didn't. His shit was weak, which proves my point.
Hey guys, I'm a 16 year old rapper. I would appreciate if you could take a bit of time out of your day to listen to a song I wrote about addiction! krplus.net/bidio/mpyCnniRlJiYnHY&ab_channel=Dragon-MusicHk
You know how big the hip-hop underground is? I wouldn't worry about it. I found Big L - The Triboro related to a Lil Wayne tune in like 2008 and I've found new music like every week since.
When this song came out , i started manifesting a journey without me even Knowing. Flash back 7 years laters here i am thinking damn the last time i listen to song heavily, i was dreaming of the life i deserved! I made it an im not stopping Ill come back in another ten when have more land 💯
I wanna know how these guys weren't at least in the Freshman XXL cypher. Guess it's true music today is just trying to make people stupid. Kyle Bent and Joyner Lucas go too hard. These guys are the future or should be..
Xer0 Crash illuminati a bitch thas why xxl is for what they want you to like i have yet to see anybody with lyrical value on a freshman freestyle if you can think of one comment a link in response PLEASE
Another one "featuring" Joyner but he leads the track. That's how you know he's already a living legend. Roll the red carpet out, open the limo, and pop some champagne. He's getting the Grammy this year (2019)

Dude do you see your work ethic when it comes to making music? Like this is how all rapper should be, something new every month... how hard is 12 songs a year...keep it up man.
Wtf why ain't this shit viral!?!? Seriously like this shit is way better and more fire than any fucking song that (Lil Yachty, Uzi Vert, Kodak Black) ect. made.. At least you can understand and enjoy this song and vibe to it. When people come at me with stupid shit like 21 savage or one of those fucking trash ass "rappers", literally those motherfuckers all they do is mumble and slur their words... smfh that ain't rap or music wtf it's retarded bullshit if you ask me. #LetsMakeItViral #Fire #DopeAsf #GoodMusic #ShareTfOutofThis #Vibe #Perfection
Cause thought creates reality. The world we live in is more of perception than reality. When it comes to artists who make music that is talking about something the first thing everyone does is talk about how it isn't being heard. The people who say that are subconsciously programming themselves and the people who hear them say it, so that even if they do share it then they subconsciously sabotage themselves from sharing it on a level or with the right people that will take it to that level. If everyone who loves an artist's music concentrates on how much they love that music rather than what people are listening to that they don't like and how many people aren't listening to them then the artists will become heard by more people. People levitate towards gratitude, but avoid negative energy. Everybody wants to feel good and let's be real. Someone talking about music not being heard doesn't feel good and that feeling gets associated with that song even though they never heard it.
Dude, this is hands down my favorite song right now. Joyner Lucas is already my favorite rapper but now I think I have another favorite. You guys spit fire. 🔥🔥🔥
I can't believe this hasn't hit over 1 million views. I'm thinking the long beginning and lack of exposure is the reason. The moment you do the second chorus into the verse. The song is tied together beautifully. Great work man!
I swear system is tripping😠😤 Like WTF!! Theres this one rapper dude named "Sheck Wes" that just started rapping and his song was on the radio and it was absolute TRASH. But Joyner Lucas been around since the start, he has real talent, and people barely know him.
Rolled the dice woke up cold cause the ice they said I couldn't I shouldn't wrong advice so y'all payin the price I'm on top y'all forced to watch fo life
Comment and let me know which city you're watching from. Maybe we'll plan a show there!

I love Kyle’s verse way more than Joyner’s and I’m a big Joyner fan.
My opinion.
i been listening to joyner for a long time and for some reason ive always thought him and j cole would be fire
Jesus Ortega i agree
He's on the level of Kdot and cole
I have also been listening to Joyner forever as well, but im not really sure about him and J Cole, I went to see him and Hopsin in Seattle and I actually got to meet Joyner at a meet and greet and he said that he is probably going to start music with Hopsin.

Everyone kept sleeping on Joyner, look at him. Now he's the one sleeping on those begging for another chance. Keep going Joyner don't let them slow you down.

Well. One year later the absolute GOAT of hiphop featured him on his best diss of his new album. Life's crazy.

LYRICS:
We deserve this life, we deserve this life
We deserve this life, we deserve this life
We deserve this life, we deserve this life
We deserve this life, we deserve this life
Reminiscing back when a nigga used to get laughed at
And now we laugh at you
Remember when you used to talk about me?
Well look where that got you, huh
No worse feeling than someone that doubt you, huh
'Cus the people don't really give a fuck about you, huh
Then you start popping and everybody call you
Even yo ex-bitch wanna be up all around you, huh
Look, fall back (fall back)
'Cus they don't know about that like
I'm drinking all the Henny, get mad right
And forget what a nigga did last night
I'm turned up and I got mad liquor
I been a half-nigga since I been half-white
And now I'm half man, half amazing
Trying to stay true in this plastic nation
We American, ain't we?
They're ready to blame me
Trying to get rich so to hell if it ain't me
You know they just - they're ready to flame me
'Cus I ball like Garnett but I better than KG
Two white hoes want a play day on it
Ten Puerto Ricans and some Reggae Tony
Ass so fat you could vacay on it
I don't even need class 'cus my A game on and I'm ready to die
Okay I'm ready to die
Die for my beliefs
Die for how to beef
Die inside the streets
Die and not believe
Die they watching me
To die I gotta leave
Die for my life
Die for my rights
Die for my lord
Die for my war
Die for my story
Die for my glory
This is top 40, bitch I'm not sorry
No, I'm not for the ride
To my dead niggas, I said
You could meet me at the top of the sky
I can feel it on my soul, I know God is alive
And the devil's a lie, shit
Okay the devil's alive
Been ahead of my time since I was 9, shit
I was nice to the niggas in 96
It's been a long time coming, now we up to something for real
It's been a long time coming, trying to turn some honey, some mills
And trust me this ain't happen over night
Had to feel them struggles 'fore we see the highs
Knew if I got the chance I'd turn this to a heist
Had to steal the moment, couldn't pay the price
And I wasn't thinking twice - listen
I been working for a better life
Remember waking in the dead of night
That was my next plan, next plan
Can't stand the fact that we ain't living right
Head filled with problems like we living lice
Times were dirty like their issues mixed with Sprite
But I always knew my future still was bright
(Always knew my future still was bright)
We some chandeliers been in shambles but I persevere
Life's a gamble, take a chance and roll a pair
Of some dice, break the ice like polar bears
We gon' own the year, we gon' break the surface
We gon' switch the plans, we gon' make them nervous
It's a new religion, we gon' change the sermon
We gon' wake them up, we gon' raise the curtain
Show them what's been lurking I been learning
Now being myself is therapeutic
Crazy how much people out here really lucid
Trying to be somebody that they isn't used to
Understand it can't be replicated and the story you living is Hella crucial
Ain't nobody in this world could ever do you
Ain't nobody in this world that's better suited, baby
We deserve this life, we deserve this life
We deserve this life, we deserve this life
We deserve this life, we deserve this life
We deserve this life, we deserve this life
