They didn’t choose the right singles or really invested in thier music videos. Do What U Want would have been a huge hit but the music video never happened. Gypsy would have also done well. If G.U.Y was released as the first single instead of Applause, this whole era would have been twice as successful

@@DanielMazahreh Not really, I was always careless about Lady gaga until a year ago I started becoming a huge fan of her thanks to Chromatica, and since I liked her so much I started hearing her other albums and thought all of it was good but none topped Chromatica until I heard Artpop, it immediately topped Chromatica due to each song (except Jewels n drugs) are severely replayable with creative stories, purposes, lyrics, and visuals, i even think Artpop explored the most of Gaga’s different notes and voices (hence why I come back to this video of Venus concert), it really excelled at its job, it truly is a masterpiece. But it’s a subjective matter anyway, no need to reason it.

This album is electronic pop music about having sex, fashion and fame. It's no different sonically or thematically to anything she's written before. Venus is the 'Americano'/'Teeth' of ARTPOP. Well no, as a fan I am entitled to give feedback, and Gaga, with ARTPOP, has taken several missteps with the album and its identity. She could call it 'ART' but it doesn't make it so. The album struggles throughout to be as interesting as her contemporaries are releasing. That's the sad fact of ARTPOP. The album is average at best. The 20/20 Experience is a great pop album that hits artistic levels of musicality Gaga can only dream about but JT doesn't label himself as reverse Warhol because he knows that doing so misleads is fans and leads them to expect something more than singing about getting wasted and dancing on a stage. ARTPOP does not, in any way, live up to its title. It is flat out, instant-release pop music. To pretend that lady Gaga isn't mainstream or that she's less mainstream is laughable at best. She's a cash cow. She'll say anything to get kids to spend their money on her CDs. She's a saleswoman.

The first albums of Gaga were made for the mainstream audience, ARTPOP is aiming at the true fans who understand her ARTISTIC being. Every single song from the album is awesome.

Look at Katy's Roar, it's such a hit because it's so simple, primitive, plain and straightforward and aims for everyone. ArtPop isn't for the big masses.

Can I just say that I love that she did this album. It's very different. I have not heard an album this diverse in a really long time. The fact that it's diverse shows that she's extremely creative. The fact that she's stepping up and saying NO Society I am not just pop I don't fit in one genre of music. Whether people want to face it or not Lady Gaga is a PRIME example of a GOOD artist. Yeah some of her songs are pretty craptastic if you ask me but then there are other songs that just really blow me away with Gaga. That's an artist. No one is going to be perfect I'm just happy and it gives me hope that there are still extremely creative artists out there when bands and artists have diverse albums.
