I love her very much, but the 3 songs I have heard from the album, I could not connect with gaga; ((((I have a huge affection for her, but I had very high expectations for the sound of chromatica, having Sophie on the album and after so many years without releasing a record focused on pop, I feel that something is missing, I think the aesthetics of the album are beautiful, very fresh but its sound leaves a lot to be desired, I think the song is succeeding because it is the return of focused gaga directly in pop music after artpop, it is not because the song is sooooo good, for the same reason I think it is a very bad comeback :( I did not even reach the heels of "Telephone" or the underrated "do what u want" , songs like "Venus" "LoveGame" or "Scheiße" are great, I was expecting something much more experimental. Ariana had an almost null participation, the video only has a nice aesthetic, let's be self-critical with what we are consuming and let's stop calling it iconic to all what they are getting))): d It leaves a lot to be desired for a return.
The only thing that I liked about chromatica at the moment have been the boots of the monster ball in the music video xdd
Remember this is just my opinion and great if you liked the song, unfortunately it was not my case

No conocia la musica de este album, y en verdad es bastante buena, por qué no tuvo mejor recibimiento?
Creo que fue porque la gran mayoría esperaba algo diferente , simplemente el album fue atemporal, y creo que muchos se tomaron enserio cuando Gaga dijo sarcásticamente que este seria el album del milenio
Algunas razones fueron porque ella peleó con su discográfica los cuales no querían lanzar ARTPOP como álbum (no les agradaba) entonces ellos quitaron todo apoyo monetario para su respectiva publicación, promoción y comercialización; Gaga debió usar dinero suyo para lograr que ese álbum viera la luz del día, pero como sabemos que todo es negocio ARTPOP tuvo trabas en todos lados (puedes ver algo de ésta pelea con los ejecutivos en su videoclip de "GUY") a eso sumale lo que te respondieron en el anterior comentario. Incluso tuvo problemas hasta hace poco con un artista que colaboró con ella en un single "Do what u want" que tuvo buen recibimiento pero fue cancelado; ese artista fue acusado de violación de mujeres y ella por respeto retiró la canción de Spotify restando millones de Streaming que tenía el álbum en esa plataforma.
La verdadera razón por la que Artpop fue odiado hasta por sus fans fue por los motivos que estás personas comentaron anteriormente, pero también debido a la cancelación de si gran concierto "The Monster Ball" por una gran factura en su cadera, que no fue atendida en el instante, por lo cual ese accidente hizo que perdiera fans. Está al estar recién operada no podía hacer mucho. El álbum lo hizo como una compensación a sus fans, pero estos lo despreciaron con sus almas; incluso puedes buscar el concierto de MTV donde presenta Applause y escucharás abucheos por parte de la gente.

When I see reviews of this song, I just have to shake my head. It makes me sad how uncultured our society is. So many people, even ones calling themselves critics, saying this song doesn't make sense. I guess they never heard of Sandro Botticelli's famous The Birth of Venus painting. It's also a song about love and sex. And the "Rocket Number 9" is a reference to the Zombie Zombie song sampled in the track. It's sad that alleged "critics" won't even do their research of an album or song before talking about it. Morons.
