It's mind boggling how accurate so many of John and co's predictions have been. Going back and re-watching some of these segments has been very interesting.
Not to downplay Oliver's predictions but...
These things have been known and written books about, everything from the explanation of how the riots during the 2020 summer came to be, to claiming fraudulent elections, for over a thousand years
The most crystal clear example I have, that I use to explain the summer of riots, is from Thomas Hobbes, an English philosopher from the 1600-century
He wrote a book called "The Leviathan" and it explains, in great detail, how this past summer in the USA came to be ... the book is over 350 years old
Absolutely no offense... but all of this has been obvious and easy to predict for centuries
Oliver is simply a well read man with a well read team of researchers and they add comedy to philosophy, science, news, and concepts that are sometimes thousands of years old
The predictions were about the dangers of provoking the right wing radicals that led up to the insurrection at the capital. This has nothing to do with the summer of 2020. Did you even watch the segment?

Religious fanaticism is alive and well in America. That's what Trump taught me.
If you were ever under the impression that it wasn't, you weren't paying attention. A bigger issue is that the fanaticism isn't limited to the religious nut jobs, but rather that it's become endemic to the conservative movement in general.
Trump is not a religious man he is actually the opposite. I still do not unterstand how someone who takes his faith serious can support him.
