Because there was no convincing case the Senate essentially dismissed the case....because it would not have held up in a court of law... The impeachment was a weak accusation that means nothing. That's why most people forget about it.

As a retired social worker, I haven’t checked lately, but I think we still have something called Medical Indigent coverage. Anyone with no insurance and low income could fill out a firm and get medical services for free. My friend got several surgeries and many of my clients got treatment this way. As far as I know we still have this.

It suggested having a support network around you when big announcements were being made. It said don't be alone at these times. Even if you have a group of like minded people (key) on zoom or similar, to help keep the blood pressure from climbing too high. People who will help buffer the emotional rollercoaster of this next week.

As for the supreme court - the only way to deal with the completely unethical stacking of the court by Moscow Mitch is to increase the size of the judiciary, which will be easily done with a Democrat-majority house and senate. All the dirty dealing of the Republicans can be undone, it will just take time.
The only thing that cannot be undone is the 4 years of warped minds pushing more right-wing populism worldwide, and 4 years of inaction on climate change - and potentially more than 4 years damage with rollback of protections and walking away from Paris accord - those will be much harder to rectify and regain.
This is why 2016 was such an important election, and I hope all the morons that voted Trump will be happy with their legacy.
