I love how Seth is casually dressed and is taken as serious Colbert Corden Fallon Kimmel proving the point the outfit doesn't determine ability and respect it's the work. As long as you want to do the work does it matter what you wear?

Seth, don't let anyone pressure you into bringing the suits back! You started dressing casual during lockdown and I feel like that's when the show really came into its own. It's when I truly started watching every single day because I loved the vibe. The casual clothes remind me of that time during lockdown where we all felt so bonded over the show. Keep the casual look!

I am back from a stay in a not empty Covid Section of our local hospital not only accompanied with a couple of prescriptions but also oxygen. And anyone, anyone, who says that Omicron is not as bad as earlier variants needs to know that, yes, it can even be worse. I had the earliest variant and if I had to choose, that variant would be what I would choose over Omicron any day. The point I am attempting to make is that people of influence, like Mulaney, need to urge caution or not mention it because he might be the person who some people would listen to the most.

Seth stands apart from other night show hosts because he knows the funniest people in show business and that chemistry really shows during interviews. I always love it when he brings his buddies on the show.
100%. I love his relationships with celebrities. He and Colbert seem to be down-to-Earth, but Seth seems to be the type of person that doesn't glorify celebrities; He's just like a buddy at a backyard barbecue.
I wish he would invite some of his funny friends on the show then, instead of this guy.

Seth back in a suit now - after EVERYTHING (the attic, the thorn birdssss, the murder hornets, the sea captain...) - just feels wrong - I love the whole more relaxed vibe. John rocks a suit, always has, always will (I can picture him as a child in a crib in a suit & he looks good) - enjoying the more relaxed, in every way, Seth.. edit - ha! @@mratkovich Thank you for saying that. For me, the best version of this show was in the studio with just his crew. I unwillingly adjusted to his audience. I know many others did the same, and really, we had no choice. I guess they still make Seth happy, but they are starting to get on my nerves. When it gets too much, I remind myself that at least it’s not Colbert’s audience I am listening to.
I think Colbert looks better in a suit. It's a personal vibe thing. Seth looks good casual. Samantha Bee looks good in her blazers.
Colbert does look organic in a suit because to him that's his comedy uniform, like a superhero. I think it's old fashioned still personally but it also takes nothing away from him being very entertaining

One of the few good things that the pandemic did is that it is now okay to dress comfortably. Save the suit for special occations! (As was done - for example - four months ago when when Letterman was guest on the 40:th annniverary.) And if you say that EVERY show is special - then NO show is special.

I'm honestly surprised they had an intervention and it worked. Most people go to rehab on their own. I -snuck- to rehab my first time I didn't want anyone to know cuz I'd change my mind if I got any kind of patronizing.

Thinking about doing the same thing myself. A certain issue has become undeniably negative in my life and I’d like change to help me get on top of it. But I wonder how I’d explain my absence and how much my business would suffer if the stigma affected it. I applaud you for making a positive change and hope the best for you going forward. A suit is ok from time to time... but for tonight I liked what Seth was wearing better than the suit. The suit is more Colbert's thing. As for Seth I like the more casual. Maybe when he interviews someone like the President... sure, wear a suit... but on an ordinary night casual is better.

Stay Casual, Seth. It suits you, the writing and the show. John talking about watching Non-kid programming shows with Malcolm just cracked me up. When our oldest (now 32) was a toddler, we were so sick of “kids” shows that we watched This Old House and a couple of other Reno shows with him on Saturday mornings. One of the first full names he could say was “Bob Bee-lah” (Bob Viella).
