I also never begged when I was homeless, although I did do some busking. I would pawn my guitar for $5 so I didn't have to carry it around or risk getting it stolen at the shelter. I also showered and wore clean clothes. Trump wouldn't last a day on the streets.

I was luckier than most people because I had friends that would let me couch surf for a night or two. I had a tent, a sleeping bag and a backpack but I rarely slept outdoors. I worked temp jobs and busked mainly for the fun of it. I like to drink, and the shelter here breathalyzes people and they won't let you stay if you blow positive, I got busted once. If I wanted to drink, I would ask a friend to put me up and I would buy the booze to pay them back and do dishes or whatever. I was luckier than most people, but it was a serious struggle to get back to having an apartment again and I'm grateful to all the people that helped me on my journey.

Oh yeah, I had a bicycle too, but that got ripped off.

It's not two-tiered. You get as much justice as you can afford. Justice is a luxury in the US. It is an improvement over the feudal systems it rose out of, because anyone with money can buy a certain amount of justice.

This is true. Trump owns the building but NOT the land that it sits on, which is owned by a German shipping family. Trump leases the land for that reported annual amount. What properties he does own are already highly mortgaged, basically because he sucks as the best businessman in history, - according to only him.

This is a civil trial and the bond is intended to pause seizure of assets while the appeal is ongoing. There are a lot of problems with the criminal bond system, but this example really isn't applicable to those situations.

First off, it's going to depend on how many shares are actually purchased to determine a value. Secondly, the SHAREHOLDERS will own that money, not Trump or the RNC. Thirdly, Trump would have to sell his shares to realize any profit, and he can't do that for at least 90-180 days after the initial offering per SEC regulations, which means nobody will be realizing any profit until at least July, and possibly not until October.
In the short term, the Truth Social SPAC merger won't help him in the slightest, and pretty sure it's not going to generate anywhere near what the pundits are forecasting.

Given evangelicals support Trump, it's not much of a surprise the money-raising tactics are the same.

Dozed off in front of the TV late one evening and woke up to Sara McLachlan singing Angel, which I thought was beautiful almost beyond words. Beside her was this old hound dog who looked like he'd been down on his luck for quite a while. Well, that old dog and I made eye contact, and somehow our souls connected.
Result was that I became a donor to the ASPCA, which I still am. I also resolved that any dog that drifted by my house would not leave with an empty stomach. I can only hope that the old dog had a good life following his TV appearance. Please, let it be so!
