- hey guys...well I left LA. It was a decision I thought long and hard about but ultimately I decided it's what's best for me. Come hang today and let's talk why. I've lived in LA since I was 17 and now that I've been ready to buy a house I broadened my horizons to different places. (At the end of this vid I tell you where I moved) and I even bought my first house. I'm feeling so blessed and grateful and I'm so excited for this next chapter of life with you.

Yeah, I'd second Zion. I've always been under the impression that mortgages are cheaper, but they're just harder to obtain. No one would be renting if they could pay less money and then actually own the thing if they could.

It’s crazy to see how many people have left LA for the same reason they moved here in the first place. I always tell people who wanna move or wish to, not to move to LA with any expectations. Because most people get here and within a year start getting lonely/depressed because it’s not what they wanted. Another thing if you’re not used to that face pace grinding everyday hustle / don’t like over populated places and can sit around in traffic brace yourself because it’s rough & tough out here! It’s not meant for everyone. LA has a vibe. And it’s not the superficial one influencers have created when you step out of those social media, influencer, entertainment circles there are a lot of loving grounded laid back angelenos that you meet. Just have to look a little deeper.

People keep referring to LA in their videos, but they probably mean Hollywood, West Hollywood, and Beverly. I'm living in Downtown LA and it's perfect.

This is coming from a person who was raised is LA and grew up in the more poor/ minority community. We aren't just living for "vibes". Many of our parents work hard to put food on our tables and we also study hard to better our community. If you are just going to LA for the "Vibes" and will not give back and contribute something good to the community, then please leave. We are family oriented and very humble people, you simply just don't know what's up 😒. You don't live or have the same life experience as many of us do; you're PRIVILEGED! Remember that.

Hi! I know it’s super late after your comment. I moved to LA a few years ago from Minnesota and something she didn’t talk about is how depressing it is to see all these people working so hard for the bare minimum bc most people aren’t paid enough here. People live with their parents well into their 20’s and 30’s because they can’t afford a house or even their own rent in some situations. This is not even including the huge homeless population. LA is not the dream and I would only move if you have a killer job that you’re moving for 🤍 I hope you’re safe and well during these times!

If you just have a normal career in LA, you meet the "normal" people with families and not trying to be an actress. It's always the influencers that say LA is fake because that's who they're around. Girl I'm SO happy you posted this. I moved to LA almost a year ago and feel like i'm really struggling to make this place home. Everything you said about the vibe and the people here is so accurate. It's an amazing city but I feel like its really hard to relate to people (I'm from Nor Cal) and people will step all over you to get on top. My lease is up in October and seriously considering moving again but waiting for the signs. So happy for you! Thanks for sharing!
Your videos leave me more in “awe” every time. I can’t not express how much I appreciate your rawness but also just realness to no longer chase the fake things in life. I have a problem w/ chasing all the wrong things in my life from partying to friends. I seek validation through status & I’m well aware of it. People would die to have a friend as famous as Samual including myself however not you, your able to live w/o it & choose that friendship not out of the benefit but instead out of it just being a genuine friendship. When I see you being so happy w/o all those things it gives me hope I can also live a fulfilling life. Personally, I feel like the only people who can live in LA long term are the people who are born and raised here. Not everyone of course, but the majority. I am a native Angeleno and its different for us versus for people who come here and try to make it. But congrats on your home!!!! OHSNAHPZ I totally understand what you’re saying. I’ve lived in LA for 15 years before moving to Arizona with Lauren. There’s a million different expletives you can have. But you can’t deny a large part of LA culture is the entertainment industry. And by Lauren being a KRplus she obviously experiences that more than the average person

Keep in mind, LA is a completely different experience when you come here to be in the industry. If you live in the outskirts of LA, you are able to escape the scene. But you’re right, EVERYTHING is expensive here. Def not worth compromising your quality of life with expensive outings.

your perspective is super interesting! As someone who is born and raised in LA I totally see you're perspective, but it's funny because when you said that you grew up in Miami there were families and it was more real life--that's how I feel about LA. For me and many other native Angelinos LA is real life, it's not all entertainment. Though I do have family members who work in entertainment I have more family and friends who do not. Los Angeles is a beautiful city full of amazing people and it's awesome that you took the steps to do what was right for you and your mental and you never know, maybe after some time you'll come back! It is hella expensive though so I get it lol!

Man I feel you SO much with the friends part. When I was moved to Canada from Australia I was so worried at first about my friendships not lasting but then I was like wait a second if they don't last and can't survive my move then they're not meant to be. Real ones stick through anythingggg. Once you realise this I feel like nothing holds you back the sky is the limit 🙌

LAUREN! Omg. When you said that we’re all going through a transitional period right now, I FELT THAT. To my core. My bf and I recently left NYC to move to Florida & it has been the best decision ever.
These big cities are super overrated and way too expensive...

Alexandra Florida is great I grew up in Fort Lauderdale and moved to nyc for 6 years now I’m back in Miami because of quarantine and its such a easy place too feel at home in 💛
