I never really tell my friends my dark thoughts anymore. When I see them, I only share my happy experiences and funny encounters with other people. I only share those things that I think are worth-sharing and not those which are kinda sad and depressing because i’m super afraid that they won’t want my company anymore if i get too sad and emotional, if i show my other true self. I also don’t want to be a burden to them. So basically, i fake my happiness whenever i’m around them. But seriously, i’m very grateful to have people who I can call friends.

I shared this song a few times on status/story hoping that my friends could see the message that I've been trying to tell them, but it really break my heart when some of them act like stranger. I know that I'm kinda selfish too since I rarely contact them but from time to time I also want someone to ask about my condition. Btw thanks @lauv for making this song. Man, this song is really an important marker for the progression of music- how the topics music covers is really diversifying, how people are becoming more open to talking about their personal mental well being, how unique our generations experience of depression is (surrounded by so much, with so many open opportunities, but at the same time so lonely and how individualistic we are all expected to be- not sharing our struggles, always striving to reach out "full potential", selfishly ambitious, shamelessly achievement oriented, fiercely independent and not to mention mind bogglingly "successful"). The lyrics are so simple but they speak to so many people on a personal level. This song really gives me hope, hope for the normalization of not fitting into the world's expectations of successful, happy etc.,hope that we realize vulnerability is okay, that we're all as insecure, as lonely as the other person and ultimately hope for people to realize that EVERYONE has their own struggles whether or not they're open about it. This song... It reminds me of when a girl told me once that she never texts first, but she's lonely and wants to talk to people... But what if everyone is waiting for everyone else to text first? Nobody is going to communicate that way. So talk to people! Call them, even though most people don't do that anymore, text them first, even if it starts off awkward, it will get better! If you want to be around people, a lot of them are too afraid of awkward silences or odd beginnings to initiate it, but especially if you're a teenager, we're all lonely! We might act like we're fine but if you're thinking about someone, leave them a message saying that you were! Chances are it will make their day. If you're lonely, I totally get it. I have very few friends, cuz im homeschooled and just don't get around people that often. Just be brave and text someone! then one day i just realized i gotta change, if i want to have friends i have to call and text them first as well, it can’t just be one sided, just because i feel like i’m a burden

and that’s i got to know my first ever best friend in life, although we are not friends anymore now

I'm cryingggg. I have been dealing with a lot of pressure since last year and everyday I try to find motivation and drowm myself with positive thoughts, but I don't think it's working. And today I got the news that somebody I know jumped in front of a train ... I don't know why life is so hard on us, but I hope one day, I won't resonate with your songs that much. Or that I'll continue to resonate, but you will be singing light-hearted, happy, silly songs

I don't know why but being an introvert really sucks for me. I wish I was an extrovert, instead. Whenever I try to start a conversation with my friends, it always end up being a small talk. I want to deepen my relationships and support them through problems but I just can't.
Maybe I'm scared that I might say something wrong because my socializing skills are so level -9000 and I really bore them in long conversations.
I suck at expressing myself, the only thing I can give them are inspirational quotes, memes and normal tips but I don't think its enough. Hell, I'm sorry if you guys didn't understand my story, I'm just not good at describing my situation.
