how wonderful to find this - I'm in northern Michigan, US.
So happy to have an upon this. Thank you so much I will be a regular viewer.
Are Mini and Pip nesting in one of yout boxes this year? I enjoyed watching them the last two years. Thank you so much 👍
Hi, I set it up this year. I think you messed it up with someone else :) stay with us though.
@@LifeInTheNestOh, I'm sorry! Yes, it must have been another site. Not to worry, I am subscribed to your channel 👍
you rockstar
One tit appears to have a subtly more yellow belly than the other tit, and it's the one who usually enters the box first when they both visit. Being slightly more colourful and being first in the box and coaxing the partner in are typical male tit behaviours/traits, but visit number 4 we see the same tit do a few nesting shuffles, which is a female tit behaviour (as the females build the nest).
Which one is male or female, I have given up :)
@@LifeInTheNest nesting material being brought in is a significant milestone, as it means they've chosen your box as their nest site, with the tit bringing in the material will be the female. Prior to this, people can speculate who the male and female are, but nature has a habit of proving people wrong!
Hi. This is awesome
Hey, Thanks.! Yes they are.! :)
i don't get it. why did they remove the cotton? the subs say "WOW," not sure what that signifies.
I thought cotton would be a soft material they'd like to have in the nest, but they seem to not want any foreign substances left in the nest. We've learned this, so wow :)
Looks like the male keeps making improvments until the female approves
