I think Brown Girls alteration is my favourite, they managed to make two pieces out of one and they both looked really good. It seemed the best fitted too. But all the students did a really good job :)

I feel like alt people would appreciate the mint girl's outfit a lot more than the average person. I'm a more feminine girl myself but I thought her outfit was very cool and innovative but the guys kept thinking it was costume-y
i both liked it and didn’t. i think if the red belt wasn’t shiny/metallic, and matte instead it’s be cuter, or if it was even a little smaller. it looked kinda awkward which was a shame bc i think the idea of it was great

huge props to the mothers for lending their outfits knowing it will change completely as they have kept it with them for so many years so it must mean something to them. If i was in their place i can't imagine taking my mom's outfit or giving my outfit to my kids for altering as i keep a lot of memories with everything and wouldn't want to change the original

I feel like my mom would not want me altering her old clothes if she had it and gave it to me. But anyways the idea is super cool and I've seen it done before but with mom's old wedding dresses getting refurbished and altered to fit their daughter's style on a show.

Orange girl does have a really nice neck and shoulders. Fashion and personal style is fickle and what you envision, sometimes the person won't like it. So it's not to say the remakes were bad but a lot of them look dissatisfied and honestly, i didn't go 'wooowwwww' to any of them.
Well they just used the fabric of their mothers clothes to make something kinda irrelevant to the original clothes. I didn't get the point. Maybe it could work if the purpose was to combine the item with minimum alterations...

Pink is so CUTE!!! I also really liked yellow's outfit (minus the shorts haha)! On orange/brown, the second outfit was definitely fit her more than the first I think. I didn't really like the belt on mint but the rest of her outfit looks sick! On a side note: They made the ad so funny lol!

Even those who weren't chose, they got praised by their work and you can see how happy they felt. Even how the designers cheered for the girls they were a team with was cute. - for the first girl I liked the fit alteration I just think the shirt didn’t match too much
- second girl I didn’t like the second top they put it was horrendous they should’ve stuck with the first one which stuck to the vintage theme
- third girls was good but the random cuts on the shirt threw me off
- as for the last girl it was really good the red belt made it look cheap, instead of the belt they’ve could’ve added another layer or something else since it was deff missing something
