For Orbits I guess this is the prefered version as it is split nicely to explain the subunits. I can understand why BBC decided to change it up to have more OT12 parts as it would be confusing for people who are new to LOONA to understand why some girls would miss in many parts.
Would still love to see them actually doing this version, and maybe even in the outfits of their respective subunits so people can somehow understand that there are seperate subunits too?!
It may not be doable on a stage, but i am hoping when they are well known enough to do a World Tour, they can perform this version at a park or somewhere large

but this style of choreography is becoming popular... plus it's not that yyxy got less screentime because of the first part (more screentime for ⅓ tbh)
It does cause they miss out the whole first chorus. And yeah choreography split into smaller groups is popular, but it works better for more established groups. You still have to treat LOONA like a debut group as not many people actually followed the predebut project.

did bbc ever give a reason why they changed the choreo for their live promotions? this version is significantly better, would’ve been unique in kpop choreos, and since loona’s concept emphasizes three units coming together it just makes better sense promotion wise.. still a legendary debut
It's harder to film a record a version like this. Uni.T had similar choreo to this for their debut and half the song is the members standing to the side or hiding from the cameras so they're not in the other shots + getting all those camera angles is a hassle for cameramen who honestly have a hard time filming properly for normal stages, they also can't do it if a stage isn't big enough, and with this choreo yyxy doesn't even get to dance for almost half the song. It's just a huge hassle in the long run and without expert filming would just look like a huge mess
Dani In probably because this choro is very complex and difficult and I’m sure it would be really hard for the girls to do this live for every hi high performance. It’s a lot of moving around and I’m sure they tried very quickly

I love the camera work and how clearly they showed the different groups. You could really get the whole LOONA story through the choreography.
I like this choreography better than the one they have on live shows because it highlights each group more. Also, it still tells a story which is wonderful.

This has to actually be my favourite of ALL the loona MVs. The way the subgroups appear individually and then slowly growing to the full group is just the perfect way of summing up the journey we all had getting to know these girls one by one. It's a little embarassing to say but...it's beautiful 😢
It must be something with the color grading with their red outifts and off-white background, or maybe the camera work, or both, but this video is very satsifying to watch. Each piece of the choroegraphy is like it's own scene in the video and you never get bored!

I think part of it is that everything that isn't warm colored in this video is kept very very visually cool. which makes the warm colors of the girls (and the red shirts) pop out. it really suits a video like this because it keeps you focused on the girls.

At the beginning, all of LOONA was in the choreography. First verse, Heejin and the rest of LOONA 1/3 are shown. When Kip Lip starts singing, she is dancing with Odd Eye Circle. The first appearance of a yyxy member was in the rap in the second verse - Olivia Hye appears by herself, and is shortly joined by the other members of yyxy. It's a small(ish) detail, but I love it!

She is probably the least trained as a pop idol in terms of dance compared to all the other girls so she's had a lot to practice and learn to catch up (which she has) but also lost her grandma during 'Butterfly' promotions so no wonder she's sitting out :(

Why do I have this feeling that the whole choreography is representative of the loonaverse?
Like, omg, we have the 3 units, we see Vivi and Hyunjin with ODD eye, which could happen bc we know Vivi has an ODD eye and Hyunjin's colour is yellow (red blue and yellow are the primary colours and we know Choerry is going to participate in the Love&Live remix replacing Hyunjin), then they have this interaction with Olivia Hye and I'm pretty sure we missed a lot of things but, just imagine if what I say is true, it would mean they created a choreography just to represent a few connections, it's huge!

I feel like theorists need to look into this choreography. This may give a pretty solid timelines for the “major events”.
