KRplus only allows me to post 15 minutes long video. This is just too short to list all the uniqueness and characteristic of Forestella, so this video is nowhere near complete at describing the joy of Forestella.
All the short clips from ‘ps2’ are SUBBED BY ME, sadly there are no full subs at the moment.

I've been a fan of Doo Hoon since The voice Korea season 2 because of his soulful voice and great charisma, but after the show I couldn't find anything to follow his career. After rewatching all his performances 2 hours ago I saw a cmt that he is now in a group call Forestella and ... here I am. Never regret researching for this, Forestella is freakin phenomenal.
Now I really happy I have great time to enjoy all their music, thanks for your infor.

I'm really appreciating for this guide. So I wanted to explain things more in detail...like as the songs in the introduction for each member are sung by who is being introduced! Havana by MG, NoonMool(tears) by HH, 취하든 마시든 (to be drunken or to drink? I can't translate it correctly..just see the nuiance) by DH, 빨간맛 Red Taste by WR (it wasn't his solo singing but clearly we can get his voice tho.)
0:54 Actually these 3 planned to pretend like as they were not welcoming MG. See DH was acting! But WR forgot the plan as soon as he saw MG right away. LOL That plan failed while MG was not aware of it..(but I'm sure MG knows it now as he should have monitored their show aired on TV.)
3:43 I was not a classical vocal fan so I can tell the things as I've read and heard from classical vocal fans. In the field of classical vocal, the opera singer is considered as the best career could have. (I don't know if it's only in Korea..) Rich tones and powerful round voices are preffered in the classic opera field. MG has light tone and fine (thin?) high notes so he heard his top career would be the sub roles in opera from one of the juries at international classical vocal concour. He got shocked and decided to participate in Phantom Singer 2 to find his way. His unique voice shines more at crossover music but his classical songs are so beautiful as well.
4:28 MG drafted Sime Kosta even though world-class opera star Julian Kim said he wanna join in MG's team. Sime Kosta is a Croatian main vocal of K-pop idol group EXP Edition. Julian Kim has the highest career in whole Phantom Singer seasons like as singing Figaro (the protagonist) in Italian opera theater. He sang with DH in duet match vs MG&WR. It was a big surprise Julian Kim & DH lost to MG & WR at that time. They won by only 2 points. (566 vs 568) MG drafted DH for trio competition. Julian Kim wanted them to draft him when they had to choose the member for quartet competition. Drafting Sime made some rivalry with Julian Kim afterwards (in entertaining way) even in Phantom Singer All Stars. With Sime, they sang Radioactive going sensational took the 1st place in the first quartet round as team Forest.
14:44 His family name 고Ko actually sounds Go in Korean. So some of his nicknames came from the word start with 고Go like as 고등어GoDeungEo (Mackerel, a fish), 고구마GoGooMa (sweet potato) etc.. he said it was trending in his class putting a nickname as fishes. Definitely he got 고등어GoDeungEo (Mackerel, a fish) for his name. And another nicknames like 자우림JaWooRim (Korean famous band name), 열대우림YeolDaeWooRim (rainforest) were made for same reason; words with similar sound with his name! ;)
@@manaciel MG's voice is more suited to lesser known opera repertoire that don't really require a "heroic" type of voice. The judges who commented that probably said so because the reality is, the more well-known major operas (which are performed more often) seem to prefer not-so-thin voices, especially voices like that of Kim Jootaek, WR, Kim Hyunsoo or the Three Tenors, just to name a few examples. If WR hadn't auditioned for PS2 he may have had a shot at a career in opera with more time and training because he already had a pretty developed true bass voice (for his age) and is a fast learner.
Wow wow wow... I just can't help being so grateful for what you've done here. I can see how much time and effort was put into this. On behalf of Forestella fans, thank you very much for creating this video of Forestella!

12:08 "also, I have lots of wrinkles(주름)" -> "My nickname was just tofu, but since I have many dots(점) on my face, it became sesame tofu"

I always enjoy listening to forestalla.I didn'realize how good they are until I accidently listening to them singing Bohemian The path.Wow! It is phenomenal.Excellent! Just curious how many utube segmenents out there reaction to foreatella's singing of Bohemian The path? I strongly suggest watch Dan Androv (not exact spelling).Its very enjoyable watching his reactions and his commentary.I recommend one more a voice teacher male and has beard( sorry don't recall names).His educated and plain comments very enjoyable.Also he pauses time to time to the singing.You can see a strong emotion filled in his. It's s a pure joy.

cho min gyu was a strategic genius on that show! i saw a translation of an article somewhere (if i find it i'll bring it) where he talked about choosing songs to perform on the show. he analyzed their popularity by searching for them on social media and radio/album sales charts. how he did that for the classical crossover stuff i don't know, but there you go!
i think the true gems of that season were woo rim and hyung ho for their extraordinary voices. i've never heard a bass so warm, expressive and lovely as woo rim. he's neither too gravelly or too strident - right in the sweet spot! and i'm especially impressed with (and equally worried by!) hyung ho not having had any musical training and still sounding so amazing! it scares me that he sings so high without training tho.
13:54 - awww! poor thing! woo rim looks like he actually believed evil min gyu! but LOL! ask as stupid question get a stupid answer! i had forgotten about this moment.
