I FAILED with cleaning this INK STAINED RUG 😹. Brown goo was flowing out while washing 😯🌊

What people sometimes dont realise is we do not guarantee 100% removal of stains. Once a stain penetrates into the core of the fibers like dye, its very hard to get completely out. Great job on this one though Jakub. You did your best and im sure the client is happy 👍

As we take time to reflect on this past year I am overwhelmed by how much this man has achieved in such a short time. 2 years ago Jakub started filming his rug cleaning. He had less than 700 subs. His cleaning techinique has improved 10 fold and his videos 100 fold! Congratulations on your success friend! I have loved watching it and can't wait to see what the future holds for you! This was not a fail at all! Ink is tricky to remove and the longer it's been there the tougher it is. Judging the condition the rug was brought to you in, those ink stains may have been there a LONG time. This rug was filthy! You did an excellent job cleaning this one, Jakub! So very fitting for this dingy old mat.

Unbelievable!!! This is absolutely NOT a fail. This rug was too far gone, but you still did an excellent cleaning!👍 The rug is clean now, so if I were the owner, I would consider having it dyed to a dark shade (if that’s possible). It was awesome to see all that dirt, grime, and ink, flow out of it! At 36:49 PERFECT!

You could never fail in my eyes, Jakub. You're absolutely right about ink being a stubborn substance, especially with wool. Even though it didn't all come out, you still gave it your best and it looks so much better than before! 🙂

You did your best, you did not fail. A life lesson that is difficult (and humbling) to accept is that we cannot ‘fix’ everything. That purple dye was pretty when it was getting sprayed with the water, tho…

You are wonderful for being so honest about not getting all the stains out, no matter how hard you have tried. That rug was incredibly dirty and stained. You do magnificent work!

The rug is clean, and the owner can put a piece of furniture over the much smaller, lighter stains. Your work is virtually miraculous.

It's the dirtiest carpet I see in your videos that I'm follow since a looong time from france! You've done all that you had to do and the result is just beautiful. Nah….. that rug was Filthy! 🤩🤩🤩 DEFINITELY not a fail. I noticed how bright the blue spots got. Dye is dye. We use it to color our fabric for a reason. It stains! Lol

Not sure what type of ink this was but I remember my mother using hairspray to get ballpoint ink out of shirt pockets. Just a thought…
I’d say you did an excellent job! It went from brown to cream and pale green.
You obviously did all you could to get out as much as was possible. It’s so satisfying watching the transformation. The music is so soothing as well.

An amazing job, Jakub! In the before photo, I had no idea it was white. You did a very thorough cleaning. Isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol) is the only thing I know that removes ink. Even that is not reliable. The customer should have been pleased that you even tried, let alone did so well.

I speculate (and I could be wrong) that this rug was a "throw away". I cannot imagine a client expecting this rug to be cleaned and refreshed well enough to display again. I do appreciate the effort from Jakob. Many time he can refurbish an old "throw away" rug to life again for many more years of enjoyment...and probably offers these used rugs at a reasonable used price. Happy New Year everyone.

This is going to sound weird, but cheap shaving foam (like Barbasol for those in the US) works wonders on ink stains. I don't know what the equivalent would be in Poland but it would be the kind your grandpa or great grandpa used. Whatever softens your beard best will penetrate the fibers and get a surprising amount of ink out.
Also, general tip for anyone who has kids: keep a can of it around. It'll take Sharpie, artificial food coloring, water based paint stains out of carpet and off of walls. Sometimes you need to let it soak, sometimes you need to scrub but it should lighten the stain considerably after each application.

Absolutely NOT A FAIL!! You did a fantastic job. You brought life back into this very abused rug. It isn’t your fault that the owners didn’t take better care of it. Keep up the good work ❤️.

When you first unrolled the carpet, I did wonder what colour it should have been. What a transformation! Wow, such a beautiful carpet. Well done. It's amazing what can be done with the right tools and a bit of soapy water in the hands of an expert.

Excellent job! Definitely *not* a fail! As someone who’s fallen victim to ink stains for clothing, hairspray has been a lifesaver. Not sure what you used on the ink spots specifically, but maybe hairspray is worth a shot for next one?
