i'm actually crying rn. lucy songs are always so emotion-filled and written with such heartfelt love and passion, the lyrics have been written like how a child would write and express themselves, so straightforward and simple. how can i not cry listening to them ?

유치원, 어린이집 4년차 교사입니다. 코로나로 아이들도 교사들도 많이 지쳤던 순간들이 많았던 시간들도 있었지만 그 안에서 항상 아이들은 뛰어 놀고 친구와 소통하면서 성장하는 아이들을 보고 저도 많이 배우는 시간을 갖고 있습니다.
루시 놀이 노래는 우리들의 추억의 놀이 뿐만 아니라 지금 우리와 함께 살아가는 아이들의 놀이를 통해 세상을 보는 눈을 가질 수 있도록, 순수하고 즐거웠던 그 시절의 눈을 보여주는 노래 같아요 :)
루시 노래를 듣기 시작한지 얼마 되지 않은 왈왈이지만 원상이가 전하고 싶은 메시지의 동심을 느낄 수 있어서 출근할 때, 퇴근할 때 루시 노래로 많은 위로와 안정감을 느끼는 요즘입니다. 노래가 나온 8월 17일 저녁부터 그 다음 날 출근해서 아이들을 마주할 때 오늘 하루 더 신나게 재미있게 놀면서 아이들도, 저도 '오늘 하루 진짜 재미있게 놀았고 즐거웠다!'라고 느끼게 해주고 싶었어요. 전보다 더 긍정적이고 사랑스러운 눈으로 아이들을 볼 수 있게 해준 노래라서 앞으로도 오래 기억에 남을 거 같아요.
멋진 곡을 만들어준 원상이, 그 메시지를 목소리로 전해주는 상엽이와 광일이, 악기로 분위기를 이끌어주는 예찬님과 고마워요. 뮤비 보면서 나의 어린 시절과 우리 아이들을 떠올릴 수 있어서 행복합니다☺️ 앞으로도 루시 노래 들으며 힘낼게요!

At the end (3:50) his mom said ; "son, dinner's ready!" which is what moms commonly say when their child is out playing and it's time to eat, basically calling him to go home and eat before he can play again. This is such a minimal detail but it means a whole lot, and to think that the more we grow up the more we grow apart from everything we didn't know was special at the time. And i also noticed that each of the lucy members is trying to bring out the child inside the stressed individual to remind him that it's okay to be child-like sometimes and to not grow up too fast. Wonsang and him on the train (1:03), when they bumped into each other they could've had the chance to talk and maybe even become friends instead of just ending it with a "sorry", but he didn't, 'cause he's grown and he has worries. Yechan when they were eating barbecue (1:57) , he kept smiling widely at him, to encourage him to smile back and enjoy the feast with him, but he didn't, he kept focusing on grilling the meat, lending the meat to others, and finally took the last burnt piece, but even then he still doesn't look happy, 'cause he's grown and he has worries, unlike what was shown in (2:45) where the child him was having fun (playing) WITH Yechan, with no worries and no problems. Sangyeob with him in the taxi (2:20), as you can see Sangyeob kept on talking to him to encourage him to not completely focus on his worries, just as he was when he was just a child, but as sangyeob kept talking he became more occupied in his thoughts and once again focused on his worries and problems, he's grown after all, huh? Unlike what was shown in (2:39) where he was having fun (playing) WITH Sangyeob in the taxi. And at (3:20) we can now see him interacting with Gwang-il, still too occupied in his thoughts to talk with or interact with Gwang-il even further, and just simply not being in the moment. Gwang-il looked at him at (3:39) maybe hoping for him to someday "make a smile like the days when we used to play". All of these instances that the members kept on wanting to "play" with him, kinda reminds me of their song "Snooze" where they said *"We just want to play with you, Woo feel our childhood. It won't wait for us".* And in the Snooze MV, they were just like this man too, stressed, grown, has the feeling that he has to be mature enough to face his problems, that kind of individual. Not until they took out their instruments one by one and started re-finding their passion and started "playing" with themselves. So I have the feeling that, now that they found and brought back the child in themselves again, they're helping others find it now, meanwhile not forcing them, but trying their best to play with them. That's why when you look at Gwang-il's eyes at the end, he's like saying "there's not much we can do" all the while watching him leave, but in the end, he found the child inside him all by himself (he looked happy and relieved when his mom called him to eat dinner). And maybe, just maybe, that's what they want for us too. For us to be mature but child-like at the same time, that it's okay to feel like a child sometimes and to feel childish feelings.
And I'm reminded that in their "Snooze" MV they also sang "But you don't have to be an adult, be immature sometimes" which adds the feels to it more huhu i'm not crying YOU ARE.

when the mother said "wonhyeong-ah let's eat dinner" at the end.. it's a simple line but it succesfully made me cry. it reminds me of the time when i was a child, when i was busy playing with my friends until dawn then my mom will call me to come back home and eat.. those little things that little me thought it doesnt have any meaning, but as you get older, you realize that you'll never experience those moments again..

0:29 "I can't remember the look of my last days" as the guy EXITS the hole that supposedly represents the ENTRANCE of a 'SLIDE', it kinda feels like instead of going out into the other end of the slide, he went out into the entrance living the time to play and instead entered into a new world of adulthood wherein you have to keep on moving but even though he is moving he feels like he is still stuck in one place because what he's doing as an adult is kinda repetitive (wake up, work, earn money,sleep, repeat) which I think the *'treadmill'* represents.
"The image of an adult that I thought when I was young is telling me that it was a mirage" kids find grown ups cool, so when we were young we rushed to become mature and adult, but when we really became one of the adults we experienced hardships that made us understand what becoming an adult really feels like, it's not what we thought it looked like when we were kids, it's not all cool, making us want to go back and appreciate our childhood more.
"And like a broken clock, I'm still living in childhood" no adults have completely grown up, all of us still has our inner child deep within us and that's why we desire to experience playing again, to run again, to spend all day with friends again, and just simply to do what we feels doing in the moment without any worries and responsibilities, completely unaware of struggles and pain.
"I hope people talk with bright smile, even if they turn around and leave" as a kid, we love seeing everyone around us happy and smiling, "but the beauty of it dissapears like a comet that is passing by" but as an adult, we slowly forget the essence of smiling, because even ourselves lost the ability to do so.
2:09 Him eating the last and burnt piece, it's bitter, kinda represents the rough process and consequences of being fully grown up.
2:35 , 2:45 getting the first slice of a cake, as a kid it makes us feel special and happy, it's sweet and he desires to taste that same feeling again.
2:58 - 3:16 I love that it shows the difference of being in a spotlight as an adult and as a kid. The young version of him was dancing, having fun and surrounded by colorful light and people who appreciate him. On the other hand, the older version of him when put in the center of the spotlight looks worried as if the spotlight represents all his burden and responsibilities adding the fact that no one was there to cheer for him and support him, it was him completely alone, surrounded by darkness instead.
"Please, don't leave me anymore. Please stop for me" he's not talking to another person, he's talking to his inner child, begging him to stay, begging him to never grow up.
"I'll find back our days that we left", when you are an adult, you have to be independent, thus moving out from your parents' house is commonly the first step, here we see that he decided to enter the slide again, this time he reached the other side, coming back to the place where he used to play when he was a kid, her mother calling him for dinner after playing, it is what's left to his childhood and it's the only thing that made him remember his last days as a kid. Ohh and also the fact that the sky was already dark yet he smiled when he heard his mother called him...Man,,,I'm happy for this dude-
LUCY is very talented, one of my comfort bands, I can't imagine life not knowing them, it's their songs I listened to whenever I'm having panick attacks or feeling numb. They don't need fame, fame needs them. ٩(●˙-˙●)۶
