Fun fact: The Nether used to be flat on superflat worlds. At least it did at some point in bedrock minecraft. I have a really old un-updated version of minecraft on my Xbox 360 (thats how you know its OLD loll) where I can still go to the flat Nether and its very eerie.

1:56 I am a very big nerd and the reason (probably) slimes didn’t spawn in the wall is because for them to spawn, you must be 25+ blocks away from that chunk

Luke if you create a superflat world in 1.17 or earlier and upgrade to 1.18.2 or later you'll get structures like strongholds pillager outposts ruined portals and mineshafts and you'll be able to build 64 layers below the bedrock
Luke, you seriously underestimate how much Superflat Survival is about vanity.
Imagine a villager would buy slimeballs or slimeblock, luke’s stonks would go 📈

Maybe a redstone villager who could sell you some daylight sensors, observers, minecarts, hoppers, and other kinds of redstone devices that are kind of a grind to get for moderate prices. They’d buy redstone and slimeballs.

Also they spawn in river and ocean biomes, meaning they're biome dependent. If you're talking about zombie conversion then yes they will turn into drowned but zombies do not spawn in water so there is no way a zombie would be a drowned unless 1 spot is not spawnproofed.

idk if anybody really cares but back in probably 2016 minecraft, the nether was indeed also super flat. it was just in a very small box of bedrock. the bedrock walls weren't smooth at all either, they were really rough looking. anyways that's my pointless piece of trivia

Bonemeal the grass to get flowers then put the flowers next to a tree and let it grow, after that there is a chance to get a bee hive for honey and that is sugar.

I remember on Xbox 360 Minecraft years ago when I played Xbox 360 Minecraft that the nether on a superflat world was also flat.

@@sunnedguts yeah, I think by a few thousand blocks smaller than the nether now but you could reach the side walls by flying at least 2 thousand blocks away. It still spawned mobs there and also glowstone and nether quartz but besides those I am pretty sure you can't get soul sand from what I remember about that nether.

Back in the Xbox one edition of Minecraft. The nether was actually a super flat in a super flat world.
If you update the world to 1.18, all structures generate apparently. Try opening the world and see if an eye of ender works, because strongholds now should be available (also we all want 200 days of superflat)

20:38 this is how I remember that Luke is a dad
Doing this in bedrock is so much harder, though you can make progress. No nether, but through wandering traders and patrols you can get water and trees. Then through oak trees you can gain apples. Then using the water you can drown zombies to gain drowned. Through enough drowned you can get copper. Using several copper you can make a lightning rod. Through a lightning rod you can electrocute pigs gaining pigmen which can drop gold nuggets. Through the gold and the apples you can get a golden apple. Through a golden apple and a witch throwing a splash potion of weakness you should be able to cure a zombie villager. From here you can finally start making a village and really progressing
(And to light up your base you must gain glow stone from witches or red stone from witches. However you can still spawn proof your base easier using carpets)

If you do it before the caves and cliff part 2 update, you can buy moss instead of sapling for wood, which only costs 1 emerald instead of 5. Bonemeal the moss until you get an azalea, then bonemeal that to gain an azalea tree. It will take a lot of bones, but emeralds early game are incredibly rare to come by, so this is worth it early game. You can always get oak saplings later

Seeing the nether not be superflat like the console editions, made me cry.
Then, all of a sudden, slimes appeared and forced humanity into building three separate walls: wall Maria, wall Rose, and wall Sina. Wall Maria was the first to be destroyed by the slimes, and then humanity was brought into near extinction, with only one left.

how to survive in super flat for 100 days:
step 1 - dig down 3 blocks
step 2 - put one of the blocks on top of you
step 3 - wait without moving so your hunger bar won't go down
step 4 - profit
You could do that in any 100 days

As someone who plays frequently on creative flat worlds I understand the absolute hatred of slimes, so much that I made a constant repeating command block the kills all slimes forever
You can turn off mob spawning or put it on peaceful mode

On newer updates superflat worlds actually do have strongholds so that’s something you can do if you ever make a 200 days of this
With 2 gravel and 2 dirt you can make 4 coarse dirt, you can use a hoe on coarse dirt to make it until normal dirt, giving you an extra 2 dirt and a way to duplicate your dirt, meaning theoretically you could do full scale terraforming and turn a flat world into a not so flat world
You need gravel tho
