- Orbis Pogona is a seed world inhabited entirely by Central Bearded Dragons (Pogona vitticeps) and their descendants. Join me as we speculate how they will evolve to fill the many empty niches on the planet. This will be a long term project, and will not take place of my other videos.

A flying bearded lizard would be a dragon
Maybe they could evolve from the climbing species, maybe even using their prehensile tail like a rudder/elevators?
A flying beard!
Finally the dream has come true
Yes but do you think we don't want dragons

My prediction- Bearded Mosasaur
😃 I already like that idea
Bearded komodo then bearded mosasaur

I need that!
you should discuss how the insects would evolve too. how they'd adapt to survive a world of beardies, or even with some on islands, they become dominant
Im imagining some insects growing larger and developing stronger flight to avoid the lizards. The lack of birds in this world would mean the sky is a safe haven for insects.
He should make a spider or maybe a scorpion that compete against the lizards

This series deserves a lot more views. I hope you monetize this and receive another sponsorship in your future videos. Please keep up the great work. 👍🏼
With humidity rising, dragons will be forced near bodies of water, which could lead to stagnisaurus filling the role of crocodilians, waiting at the waters edge for other unsuspecting dragons to walk by in order to devour them. Nuchosaurus might even evolve into something like a hippo or manatee.
That makes a lot of sense. But I think it would take a bit (or maybe not).
Based pfp, however Nuchosaurus still remains in mostly dry regions and not near very many bodies of water.
@@MadlyMesozoicjust hoping he ain't a Griffith apologist.
@@MadlyMesozoicconvergent evolution perhaps?
@@carlossssssss5492 Im a Griffith supporter.
I could see some reptiles evolving a larger and spikier beard to intimidate and fend of predators. Some lizards could maybe start becoming fast and nimble to be able to snatch young Nuchosaurus and run away without the parents running after them due to them being to lazy
This has become one of my absolute fav specevo projects
I like seeded worlds, so this may be a lot to ask but can you make one with turtles and tortoises.
RIP Winston :(
This is my favourite series on KRplus, I'd love for it to continue for as long as you enjoy making it.
Damn things are getting really interesting and fun with this part. I love the new animals and can't wait to see more of this project as time goes on
8:54 BUFFETS OMG THIS IS SOME SERIOUS FORESHADOWING
Anyhow, I love this video. I love this channel. I love you and I love your dragons ❤
I’ve been waiting for this one for quite a while, hope to see goober make an appearance
I would love to see more information on what the insects, fish, and maybe even plants do as they evolve! It is likely that they will become interesting, and I hope to see more interesting species like the Megamouth Bass.
I enjoy how grounded and reasonable this is
My prediction for the next episode is Porcupine Bearded Dragons, horn ramming Dragons, Gliding Dragons, Komodo Bearded Dragons, Bipedal Dragons, and Snake Bearded Dragons.
I hadn't ever consumed seed world content before and I gotta say, I'm hooked. I am so invested in these little dudes
Can’t wait
i guess, next time we see a macro predator dragon?
Megamouth Bass haunts my dreams. Congratulations!
You aren't ready for their successor, the god among fish, GIGAMOUTH BASS!
Your science behind Nuchosaurus was incredibly solid, saving energy is one of the most important things in nature and one of the strongest factors in natural selection! While Doofus and his lineage may have needed more food from getting bigger, it still saved calories having to not climb or compete with closer to the ground dragons. Nuchosaurus is possibly on the right path already for big things to come!
I love spec evo in general. I also love lizards (i keep crested geckos myself). So this is a series i very much appreciate.
This will be Epic
This is one of my favorite spec evo project. I am happy that more people are doing these. I hope your channel becomes even more popular becouse you deserve much more subs then you have right now.
A request, explain how other animals will change(hopefully jumping spiders and intelligence of them)
See, i knew bearded dragon would succeed.
I can already imagine a species of dragons evolving into a snake like creature, a bearded snake you could say
Loving this series so far, I could see predators adopting saw Like teeth to Prey on larger animals. Shaking their heads the way sharks do to cut pieces off of larger Prey.
bearded dragons are so popular in captivity in the first place because they are inherently really adaptive
Could be cool to see a bearded dragon that adapts to turn the majority of its body black instead of just its neck to help it camouflage or hunt in the night
I loved this video, great job!!!
This a really good series, loving the videos
Amazing work 👏 love the adventure you take us on
So excited for the next episode of this. Love seeded worlds.😊
Man, I'm exited for this project.
This series is cool keep making them!❤️❤️
Really interesting speculative evolution project. This channel is turning into one of my favorites. Love all the series & creativity so far!
Yooo this is awesome!! Keep it up, you have a great imagination!!! 😃
*Rapidly writes down security question answers*
I strongly desire to pet every species in this series.
And I will. This is a threat.
HYPE!
love this series
Can’t wait to see how far you can take this series.
This is cool, I reckon the predatory bearded dragons will develop longer limbs, possibly in the future, they might even walk like the theropods that came before them.
Reject lizor, become dinosaur
Amazing!! 🤩
U should definitely take continental drift into account, how do these animals react to mountains and canyons forming
Can't wait to see the megamouth bass appear on the next episode of river monsters 😅
In all seriousness- That thing is terrifying and I don't know why.
I already know there are going to be dragon like creatures and I can’t wait
Keep it going
I love this series
this is awesome, im looking forward to more!!!! hoping to get my friends to watch this with me XD
Awesome channel
I think before we move on u should dedicate a video for all invertebrates on the land. Snails, spiders, dragon flies the works
PLEASE I NEED MORE
Talking about their tongue might be cool too ~
Especially since the water one and the tall one might not need, or could not use the saliva efficiently

This is so cool

I've just started I kinda hope the invertebrates get some love especially the aquatic ones
LIZARD!!!!!!!!!!
Aetosaurs from the Late Permian
Another reason for large herbivores to evolve is simply a lot of food which can sustain a larger body.
As they grow large, halwfay through the way to becoming a new species, largest herbivorous bearded dragons would realize that they can reach taller plants, and so they'd start doing it with great success and no competition, as there are no other large animals to feed on it all.
Spectacular
Don't call me a little beard ever again
Shimo ah ah looking beardeddragon
This project is incredibly good and I can’t wait to see more. I only question is are there gonna be any burrowing bearded dragon species or maybe even fully aquatic possibly a large Apex predator one that specializes in insectivore-ish behaviors or maybe one that grows to be a giant tank or basically a dragon also, what the fish doing Are we going to see bass-Sharks? Also, is it possible we might get a bearded dragon turtle? If so, that would be bad ass. Keep up the good work.❤😊 10:08
Absolutely love the buffet naming convention! And with the climatic shifts turning more of the planet into forested and jungle areas, I could very well see a certain big red dragon taking on a niche similar to that of a felid or even a sebecosuchian esque predator!
You might wanna look into the development of the four-chambered heart in mammals and reptiles, I think it would be relevant as these animals get larger and more active, as it allowed terrestrial life to become warm blooded and stand upright.
A four-chambered heart could also be emulated (possibly as a pathway to a true four-chambered heart) by making oxygenated and deoxygenated blood flow at different pressures (like in pythons, boas and monitors.)
I can’t wait for part 3
MORE PLEASE
I love this video
LETS FCKING GO, MORE ORBIS POGONA !!

that's a whole damn subnautica leviathan we're lookin' at there my boyes
also big thanky for covering the non-lizard critters
The little interactions between the lizards is fun. The last one was my favorite so far.
Need more
Since the moon is a similar size to orbis pogona, if the scale you showed is correct, that would make the planet actually a binary system! Much like pluto and charon, in which the orbital point is outside of pluto's center of mass.
No, its not as large as depicted in the graphics
@@MadlyMesozoic ah, got it!
Curious Archive needs to cover this. It's too good
I got an idea for the next episode considering that they just showed the animated series for Ark but what would happen if Wolverine was in that world and by that world I mean the world of Ark
Are you going to change the planets temperature or water level after millions of years. I should probably watch the video before I try to ask something
I really think the spike/thorn-like ornaments on the beard could be used to develop some spiky defensive adaptations like a porcupine for example or a thorny devil and as such the porcupine-dragon (name is your choice) should in turn be basically immune to predation ALL except for a honey-badger like bearded-dragon with black air force energy seaming off its scales
YES!YES!YES!
Oooh Now I want flying dragons
You should mention how other organisms on this planet are adapting, as well as further evolution in the beardies, like a predator for the bigger herbivores
More please
Ah yes, triassic expect everything is bearded dragon!
Could Beavers Survive the Paleozoic?
*MORE DRAGONS*
Cool
You should talk about the insects. maybe their could be giant bugs with all the plants around
I'd see this as plausible due to the lack of birds, meaning insects are the only flying animals on the planet thus far.
Does he have a discord cause I want to give him some creatures for his project
Really good vid 👍 but not enough chocolate digestives😐
Cant wait to see when the archosaur transformation starts. Every animal thinks its cool until the reptiles turn bipedal. lol

Kinda hope the OG Beardie stays around and doesn't evolve much
So far they are very much around and in their same niche.

Very much similar to the standard tetrapod bodyplan (salamanders, lizards, tuataras and crocodilians all retain a similar bodyplan today) which has stood the test of time, even with many unique adaptations that accompany it.
Congratulations have created the eastern water dragon
