LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - Again, welcome to LA, home to one of the biggest Korean populations outside of Korea. Steve from @RockstarEater and I are eating our way through Koreatown LA, this time focusing on some of the best Korean BBQ, but a cheese pull Korean corn dog competition to begin!
If you havenโt already seen Part 1 of this ultimate Korean food tour in Koreatown, watch Part 1 here: โข Huge KOREAN FOOD Tour!...
Here are the Korean food and restaurants included in this video:
Sun Ha Jang Restaurant (goo.gl/maps/JihnCcvxMRTChxhS9) - Sun Ha Jang Restaurant serves a unique Korean bbq menu of duck - and come to think of it, I donโt think I had really ever eaten duck during any of my trips to South Korea, but this restaurant in Koreatown specializes in it. They serve you a unique duck bbq experience with all the banchan. But the best part of the meal is at the end when you have a pool of melted duck fat, which is then cooked with rice and kimchi to make an award winning fried rice.
Two Hands Seoul Fresh Corn Dogs (goo.gl/maps/HvsTWJMkfx2DJKi36) - Next up, Steve and I had a Korean corn dog competition. It was my first time to try these trendy corn dogs, which are actually not dogs at all, but rather cheese or rice sticks on the inside. We had a hilarious time with a cheese pulling competition.
Ahgassi Gopchang (goo.gl/maps/QprA5yzPy3E3RZqC6) - Finally, to end this ultimate Korean food tour of Koreatown in LA, we went to Ahgassi Gopchang, which is an amazing Korean bbq restaurant. The food and the cuts of meat, especially the galbi, Korean short ribs and large intestines were stand out!
And that completes this Korean food tour!

One of my favorite parts of the channel is seeing your son grow. Happy new year!
Same here. I wish he would show more of him. I would love to see his sons reaction to eating the food that his father is eating.

At 15:22 Micaโs laugh is priceless with the cheese ๐ง pull!
Traveling for food is awesome. Love the cultural experience.
Among the food culture of Korea, special things that distinguish it from the food culture of other countries. //
1. Perfect vegan food represented by Korean Buddhist temple food
2. An endless variety of soup dishes
3. Kimchi: Vegetables fermented with animal protein represented by cabbage kimchi. In the past, only Koreans made and ate it. There are over 800 types of kimchi.
4. Jeotgal: A fermented animal-based sauce made from seafood. In Korea, there are more than 140 different types of salted fish.
5. Ssam: It means wrapping all the ingredients you want to eat in various leafy vegetables represented by lettuce. However, unlike burritos, you have to swallow them in one bite, so you need to adjust the amount of ingredients to be wrapped appropriately.
6. Herbal Medicine Ingredients : Herbal medicine ingredients are not only eaten for special diseases or health, but are also often used for general home cooking. For example, as ingredients for Samgye-tang, Mulberry, Tree Aralia, Eleutherococcus Sessiliflorus, Mongolian Milkvetch, Korean Angelica, Ginger, Jujube and Korean Ginseng are used.
// Etc... Korea shows a distinctly different food culture from neighboring countries in Far East Asia (China, Mongolia, Vietnam, Japan).
I love how no matter where Mark goes alot of times it's Mexicans doing all the prepping and cooking and no matter what they never get any appreciation or credit so shout out to my gente working so hard just to make ends meet โ๐ผ๐ฒ๐ฝ๐ช๐ผ

Canโt stop binge watching your food adventure! Iโm not a beef person, but I fell in love with Korean barbecue beef when I had it the first time! When you go to a traditional Korean barbecue restaurant, they serve you the best quality meats!๐
I want to thank you Mark for broadening my palette, with the durian fruit. I watched you on you tube eating all different types of durian and I wanted to try it so I did. I love onions so I was prepared for that, I bit into it and it was like parts of my brain that wasnโt used woke up. I love all the Korean fruits I tried all of them. And thank you for teaching and showing us a wonderful culture. I eat Korean food every day and Iโm Italian. Lol God bless
