I like how Amnesia and its community love this slow paced horror. You hear a lot and read many diary entries and such, over an hour before you have the first actual encounter - and usually, nothing can happen to you because it's scripted that way. Still, it comes sudden and you're never prepared, freaking out completely without a real reason to. :')

The beauty of revisiting Amnesia, is what we all see now, it was once just a great game for many reasons. Content, Lore, Story, General Horror and laughs... Now we see it as the beginning of a fantastic KRplus Creator. We see it as the start of your effervescent personality. Thanks to Mark for just being awesome and Creating amazing videos and being a friend of many.

Markiplier, I know you're probably not going to see this comment, but I figured I would try. If you do by chance see this and you could consider my following suggestion that would be all I ask. So a while back, you played a game called "It Moves." Now it's a creepypasta game. I remember you only played the demo. You said to yourself that the game had given you chills that not many games can do. All I'm asking is that you play the full game. I'm asking this because I want to know what happens, but I don't want to watch any other KRplusr play it. It would mean so much if you were able to consider playing the full version. I know you must be very busy, I and your fans appreciate everything you do. I just thought that even if it's a 1 out of 100 chance you would see and read this to the end, that alone is worth the chance. I can only hope you at least consider this suggestion. Thank you for everything you do, Mark!

2:59:04 THIS, LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, is my FAVORITE aspect of horror games. Throughout this entire game so far, this has been a safe place. Whenever you would get back here, subconsciously in your mind you think "This is the hub world, I'm safe." and that feeling dwells up throughout the game in your mind because every time you've been here, you've been safe. And then, without warning, the game TEARS it away from you, and completely shatters your little feeling of safety and makes you think the very words that Mark says: "Y-you're not supposed to be here.....? N-no, that can't be..." and, in reality, IN CAN BE.

The story of the Red Nurse is a actual story about Elizabeth Bathory. She bathed in the blood of young women who she had come be her maids. People found out about it, hung the servants who were helping her get the women and put her in a bricked up tower to die.

worth watching for the library piano section. helps to relax and doze off to, and the aesthetic in architecture with the dome/arched gloomy skylights, complimented by the lived in heirloom furniture in all warm tones, and limited, but intimate lighting, sells the entire scene. one of few times i wish i was there in the game.

I just replayed this custom story. Its probably my favorite one. It has really great level design. The story, the ambience and the build up is incredible. I love the slow burn as you learn more about the red nurse and then it shows up. No need for cheap jumpscares. And if there is a jumpscare it feels earned. Even though I already knew when the scares showed up it still is just so unsettling. I played this alone in the darkness of the night with my headphones cranked up. I also love the justine style chase at the end. I beat it in roughly three and a half hours. I figured it'd be a great game to play on halloween night. So now im watching mark play it for the sake of nostalgia. When this video came out I was a new fan at the time introducing myself to horror games. This was one of my first memories of markiplier. Anyway this was really long and nobody's gonna read this. But I love Amnesia. And its always great to go down memory lane and watch one of my favorite KRplusrs.

The nostalgia tho it hits hard and yeh exploring around doing the tasks and getting some spooks

Hello Mark/comment section. Just wanted to tell a small story here, at my expense. So usually when I go to sleep I'll listen to your videos to help sort of lull me to sleep, it's good white noise for me that I've found works which I love!. Anyways, so it's been around 4 months since I found your channel and have done this, HOWEVER. I decided that it would be a good idea last night to let your videos auto play from my recommended watching category. So when I fell asleep I was listening to the GTA #5 series co op with you, wade, and Sean; when I woke up (at 3 AM) however it was from a nightmarish sort of dream because of the voice at around 1:00:35 when the man was reading the letter.
Lesson learned, predownload videos, and do NOT let this auto play.

god i live the atmosphere of this game, they set up background noise in 'safe' areas that sound like the monster's moans but 'watered down' till it wasn't alarming. then they increase the intensity of the moans and only after one or two you'd realise they're actually meant to be her alarming noise, but then again nothing had happened until now and you don't know how long the moans had been going on for, so you still assume it's fine. then you see those two white pinpricks of eyes.
