      I'm excited to see the flower shaped one since that's what I thought you were doing with this one but I was also blown away with how this one looked once you made it circular! Really amazing work. I had to do a woodworking project when I was in college and, even with a full shop of tools and a teacher there to help me, I struggled a LOT. I could figure out how to do the calculations for how everything SHOULD go together but making it actually work out precisely enough to function properly and look good is a lot harder than you make it look here. πŸ˜… I'm sure it took a lot of hard work to become this skilled. Great job!

      I like the idea of a petal/flower style table, but I'd make it from smaller biscuits as the scale would be restrictive for a sale, where a smaller coffee/bistro table would work really well and I can see it being bought for peoples homes.
      Really liking that you can do this work with a minimum amount of tools in a small space. It gives budding craftsmen hope.

      I also thought you'd go for flower and expected to see THAT end result ) as of the round version though I'd not go symmetrical with one cookie in the middle - I'd probably place them in a kinda spiral order or something

    Before you cut it into a round shape it looked like a flower. I think that would have been awesome, although making a mold in that shape would be ridiculously hard. I love your work, your sense of humor, and the way you film your work. I don't love the music in the background, it's a distraction.     I saw a floor made this way with cord wood fit together and with an epoxy pour. It was beautiful. We did this 40 years ago over a large cable spool, when we were tired of a card table for the kids. We used that table for 35 years.

    I'm glad to see others in the comments who also thought it would've been nice to see it as a flower table! Even if you didn't go in the direction some of us were hoping, it's still a great video, and the finished product is just gorgeous! I wanted to watch it for entertainment purposes but I now have a new design idea I'd like to try someday! I don't think mine could look as neat as yours does but I'd love to follow this video and stop before you cut the table into a circle. That flower table was inspirational!

    I like the flower shape idea too! The one you finished reminds me of a sun outline from the cracks and seams.
    I think if you wanted to play up a flower shape but still have a round table, you could fill the background space with really fun colors of resin. Just a thought! Nice work either way. 😁

    You CAN have the cake and eat it too! Make a flower shape and make a circular mold around it! This way you have a flower inside the average but more convenient circular table... that would be perfect!
    And maybe a different colored resin... or a few colors, mixed.
    That being said, your work is stunningly accurate and beautiful.
    I've never imagined I could feel so much pleasure just by watching wood being cut πŸ˜„

    It is fascinating to see how you went from inspiration to calculating how to do your design, to making technical decisions, knowing all the tools, epoxy, and finishes. You have a steady hand when pouring the epoxy and confidence when handling the wood which looked like it could break.     i LOVE the organic radial design inherent of the round slices in the table as is!
    a flower shaped table of that size would be tacky & impractical, for any functional purposes, imo.
    perhaps a small flower-like table with pronounced petals might be cute as, e.g., a mini bistro table, or one intended as a decorative end table.

    Looks good. I can understand cutting it down so that it is a circle, but it would have also looked good before cutting the edges. It had a cool shape like a flower.
