Disney+ and Marvel Studios invite you on an unexpected holiday getaway, unwrapping a brand-new teaser trailer and poster today for βHawkeye,β a new series set in post-blip New York City. Former Avenger Clint Barton has a seemingly simple mission: get back to his family for Christmas. Possible? Maybe with the help of Kate Bishop, a 22-year-old archer with dreams of becoming a Super Hero. The two are forced to work together when a presence from Bartonβs past threatens to derail far more than the festive spirit.
Starring Jeremy Renner as Clint Barton/Hawkeye and Hailee Steinfeld as Kate Bishop, βHawkeyeβ also features Vera Farmiga, Fra Fee, Tony Dalton, Zahn McClarnon, Brian dβArcy James and newcomer Alaqua Cox as Maya Lopez. I finished the show today and I absolutely loved it, especially the chemistry between Heilee Steinfeld and Jeremy Renner. I liked the transition between them being a hero - liability duo at first to eventually becoming partners.

Hawkeye was small scaled and grounded, this is why I liked it. Not every show can be full explosions, easter eggs and surprises.
Hailee Steinfeld was excellent as Kate Bishop, very accurate portrayal from the comics and the chemistry between both of them was very refreshing.

Well, he's a human who can shot really well who had to deal with a daddy issues 1500 old Norse demi-god, a sentient robot, a powerful witch, a fast guy, got in a fight with his colleagues when a big purple guy with magic stones (that sound like a magical girl) killed his whole family, who then came back (except Natasha), I think he deserves a good Christmas day.
Iβm certain they only set this at Christmas to use that tag line βthe best gifts come with a bowβ which to be fair is excellent

Love this show. It incorporates all the classic Marvel values. Love, family, friendship, country and sacrifice. Well done, Marvel. What a tribute to the Avengers and to Clint Barton - Hawkeye. Great plot and great writing. A wonderful Christmas gift indeed.

I enjoyed this series so much. It was fun ride but also emotional. I think I cried two or three times π. It wasn't even remotely boring for me. The show gave me Christmas vibe bc it's fun, sometimes dramatic and about family (by blood and found one). Elena is good addition to the family theme bc she is Natasha's sisters and Natasha thought about Clint as a family. Duo Kate and Clint is lovely. They have a lot of potential to work together and being friends-family. I also liked the antivillian echo. The final was pretty great even tho I have small issue with it. I guess I'm ready to rewatch the show right away.

What excites me the most is just how different each Disney Plus show has been so far! Each one is completely unique. WandaVision recreated iconic sitcoms as a detailed allegory for grief, Falcon and The Winter Soldier provided a realistic portrayal of trauma combined with a sense of moral ambiguity, Loki was an sci-fi-styled epic with cosmic consequences, and now this!

FaTWS was going really well until they straight up pulled Karli from questionable to irredeemable. Still like the show, just wished they have made her more ambiguous than senselessly putting innocent people lives in danger
Falcon and Winter Soldier wasn't a realistic portrayal of anything, imo.
Bucky, who spent half a century as a brainwashed assassin is out there having buddy cop one liners, and (this one annoys me) has absolutely no problems in social situations etc.
Then, these two insanely well trained military men give up their positions constantly because of arguing whilst right under enemy noses. Makes no sense, and for me made it a hard watch.
