I’m both surprised and pleased with Ben Kingsley’s willingness to reprised this role. Like we all expected it, but we probably didn’t anticipate the amount of screentime Trevor received.
Kingsley will take any role for money, just look at his IMDb.

The mental imagery of Wenwu seeing Trevor act out Macbeth and then decide to keep him alive for entertaining purposes is just so funny to me for some reason. Imagine a room with a little stage and a bunch of seats where all the Ten Ring soldiers just watch Trevor do a play every week
also the fact that wenwu was also alive when Macbeth was created 😂 maybe he loves the story, maybe he was even there when it first came out

The most fascinating part about this is the fact that Trevor Slattery isn't a bad actor (he did fool the entire world in Iron Man 3)
So, they're not just keeping him as a joker, Wenwu and his soldiers actually sit down every day to watch a one man show of the Bard's greatest hits
Well once per week, Trevor says he does weekly shows so now I’m just imagining every week around dinner Wenwu and his men sit down and enjoy Trevor Tuesday

I laughed so hard at that one! The delivery was great too.
I Loved that line because it is a very common misinterpretation during communication in asian community (even myself, though I grew up in Australia)

My jaw dropped when this scene showed up. Glad Trevor was kept alive. Even though I didn't enjoy the twist in Iron Man 3, I still thought he was genuinely funny.
I went from hating his character in 2013 to loving him nearly 10 years later 😂 good job, marvel
The twist was perfect i stand with kevin on that and it payed off.
In iron man 3 I liked Trevor being an actor, but I didn't like Killian calling himself Mandarin.

Comedy isn't the first thing that comes to mind when I think about Ben Kingsley, but boy is he funny in this role!
The line from Macbeth is part of the Porter's monologue, the Porter being this drunk comic relief character. Basically what Trevor is in this movie.

I’m really glad they brought back Trevor for not just a 30 second cameo, but was there for a while and actually had a reason to be there.

Some said Di Jiang is initially the worthless son of Yellow Emperor, but banished by Shun and became one of the Four Fiends, alongside with Tao Tie. Tao Tie is the creature featured in Matt Damon's Great Wall film.

Wenwu was there when Macbeth was written. So maybe he even knew the writer. Its far-fetched but interesting 😂
Wenwu was all giddy about finding the Pokemon forest, he may be a four thousand year old tyrant but he knows how to appreciate the finer things in life.
Wenwu is so popular and has so much more to his story (1000 years prior to Shang-Chi). I think they should make a solo Wenwu origin story movie.

It was fantastic!! Beautifully choreographed martial arts sequences, impressive fight scenes, great special effects and quite a few laughs thanks to Awkwafina and Ben Kingsley.

Ben Kingsley is totally underrated in this movie. An incredible performance and hilarious.
Back in 2013 I was soooooo pissed because Ben was an actor I knew very well. And he was playing arguably Iron Man’s biggest foe. And then “nah sorry he’s just a druggy actor.”
But then Shang Chi was all like “you want the Mandarin? Well how about I give you one of the *GREATEST MCU VILLAINS EVER!* right up there with Fisk, Kilgrave, Thanos.
I don’t even care that he
A: Never met Iron Man.
B: Didn’t even refer to himself as the Mandarin.
He was still one of the greatest villains the MCU have ever had. Not to mention that I’ve unfortunately never seen the actor in anything else before.
Oh and Kingsley was amazing as always.
