Dwight is a true inspiration to NFL fans and those around him. I got the privileged to be the water boy for this championship run in 1997. I will never forget it because that year started a dynasty that will live on forever in the history of sport.
Damn I love these two guys! I remember watching the Bills as a kid and seeing Bruce Smith and Cornelius Bennett and wishing the Colts could get something remotely close to that kind of pass rush. So grateful for all of the tremendous memories these boys provided.
Definitely amongst the top duos of all time and Robert deserved first ballot too. Imma big fan of these two and glad to see they are life friends. Nice post.
These guys changed the way that offensive coordinators planned their games forever. I heard Dwight say once that if Aaron Donald played for us back then that it wouldn't even be fair to the other team...Those two were dominance at its finest
It makes me unreasonably happy to see this. Living in Indy these 2 brought everyone's chin up with pride. Sure, we had Manning and the O was in the top 5 year in and out... but these monsters brought a true FOOTBALL respect to the whole team. Gritty, hard working and tenacious as hell. Thank you Dwight Freeney and Robert Mathis! You'll ALWAYS have a home in Indy.

Those were my guys. That was my team. The Colts from 2005 to 2009 was the most fun I ever had watching a football team.
