The clip of Travis and Coach was filmed by his oldest son Deion Sanders Jr. You can see a lot of great clips of the team practices and coach interacting with his kids from his page Well Off Media. Part of what coach said to him was don't go out there and try to be superman, because he had an ankle sprain earlier this summer.

What Deion is doing is honestly beautiful. Superstar multi millionaire nfl player retires, coaches his sons growing up, takes a high school HC job to continue to coach his sons, then takes a HC job at a college no one has ever heard of to STILL CONTINUE to coach his sons to the very end, to build a program no one has ever heard of into one of the most popular teams in the nation and MOST OF ALL to mold boys into good men.. it’s the perfect Cinderella story. Most football coaches look at their players like disposable assets who are just pieces on the chess board of their career so to see what coach prime is doing and the commitment and love he has for these young men it truly warms my heart.

First time on your channel and I must say I do appreciate your candidness and truth! Coach Sanders is more than a surface coach trying to get 4 and 5 star recruits. He is a man who recognizes that young men, especially young black men, need a mentor, father-figure, role model, guidance, recovery from mistakes, love, and nurturing. He spends time with his team of coaches as well as his team of players. He speaks to the soul of these "lost young boys" who have never been heard, never been hugged, and let's them know it is okay to just be human. Coach Sanders has paved the way for sooooo many, and he is not only giving back but also being obedient to the assignment God has charged him with... Being the difference and making a difference! Much love to Coach Sanders and to ALL Coaches nationwide making a difference in our young men's lives!

This may be somewhat irrelevant, but people forget that the NFL's triple crown receiver in Cooper Kupp, top tier linebacker Darrius Leonard, and QBs like Trey Lance/Carson Wentz were all FCS guys. Wentz and Lance were also picked number two and three overall, so I think this guy could still be a first rounder after completing his three years.

Matt I've never seen any of your videos get this much love so quickly. It's great to see. You are correct in your assessment too. A coach that you look to for real life changing guidance after highschool is rare though it does happen quite often at HBCU's. They want you to succeed in life period, not just as profit for the college. That is the difference. FBS colleges don't have the same, "we love you" spirit as HBCU's. The whole time at HWC is thinking about doing what you need to do to leave. At an HBCU it's let me enjoy this moment.

why would he.. he was a 5 star recruit with a 100/100 grade which has only been done like 3 or 4 times.. he had an offer from alabama.. if he wanted to he could've went elsewhere so why leave? I mean.. there is the idea that if you want to get better you need to play better talent and where is all the best competition in college? at bama or OSU.. because if he is as good as everyone thinks... the competition hes facing is no competition at all and its hard to get better that way... even if the head coach is doing a lot to help you become a man.. that will only do so much for you as far as NFL goes.

Jackson State was probably sending more guys to the league than FSU in the 70s. It's not just Prime's NFL connections and motivational skills that are going to make this work. JSU fans are going to keep that stadium full with 45-65K fans. The school and its fans are going to be highly active on social media. The entire JSU fam makes players and recruits feel welcome. What Prime did was expose a hidden gem, a vibe to the world. There is likely only 1 or 2 other HBCUs and no FCS schools he would have accepted an offer from.

I had the privilege of being a kid in the Prime Time Falcons days. Of course especially as a young teenager I loved everything about Deon. I've never stopped being a fan of his through all the teams, into broadcasting, and what's crazy to think now possibly all of that was to lead him to his true calling; being a coach. To become him and to get the respect he does, he needed to go through the steps he did. I think being a broadcaster showed him other sides to the game he never really saw as a player. Put it all together and you have a force. Think about it too what player could even think of challenging anything he says. What Mr. 5 star whoever, well no Mr. 5 star ever scored a TD and hit a home run in the same day. What smoke can anyone possibly have for that man. He has definitely turned into a true example for everyone. I loved your video and it's positivity towards everyone in it. I hope you, Coach Sanders, all those players, and everyone everywhere gets a taste of greatness.

After their loss to South Carolina State University, Deion went back to the drawing board and decided to focus his energy in making Jackson State a program to be reckoned with. He overlooked the attention on Travis and focused on making him an outstanding young man. He has 4 years to develop, and he will make a lot of money following Deion. Great commentary.

"Prime Time" was built for this era. He was making viral moments before social media. It's good that in this era he can shed light on a whole program instead of just himself. It's a pleasure to watch

Having Played the sport🏈 for 17 seasons, the great HC's are not about X's & O's..
That's what the Co-Ordinators are for!!
The Great Coaches are about Motivating, Inspiring and Mentoring Individuals to not only perform better as a team on the field, however to also perform better as Individuals off of the field, in life.
    Deion is a Great Coach🤙!!
    Cheers🍻

Everybody tries to knock Travis for where he committed but at the end of the day when you feel good you play good and man's could not be in a better environment, and is on a team that not only will let him shine but shine on both sides of the ball

Coach Prime going off about the phones is what it’s all about. Stay focused, locked in, f**k social media. Worry about that shit after the game.

If the administration supports Jackson State like Florida has supported me, this team will be a must watch every week and hopefully can compete with us in the SEC. GB🍊
