RM once said that inside Suga was like the personality that Jin shows to the world and that inside Jin was like the personality that Suga displays outwardly. It's interesting that Jin and Suga are roommates by choice.

Jin is the: “I will sacrifice my pride and humility for the sake of everyone being comfortable”. He is the Ice breaker, and many times artists who have collaborated with BTS have talked about how Jin has apologized for being too loud saying “I’m sorry if I’m too much, I just want everyone to laugh”. He is part of the introvert line but won’t hesitate to do something (no matter how silly or potentially embarrassing) to make the members feel better.
He says it’s his Role since he is the oldest.

I feel like V’s personality is the most sporadic 😂 sometimes he’s quiet and in his own world, other times he can be very baby and cute, while other times he is the life of the party cracking the most jokes.

Note about Korean culture: it's very common to talk loudly to yourself. I lived a year in korea and worked in a kindergarten. The kids would often speak loudly to themselves, even while there were other people in the room, and it's in this same way that RM did here. Of course it's often amped up for entertainment, but i wouldnt say it's necessarily an extreme camera awareness as much as a common Korean cultural thing that they sometimes do more of.

I love reading the comments here, paragraph on paragraph showing how people/ARMY really listen and pay attention to the little details about BTS' personalities, quirks and experiences. I feel like it really shows how we all really care about them as people as well as entertainers and artists, and how we're really trying to understand them as they seem and are, ideally without behaving as if we know them through and through. Max Beaumont's observations and analysis is also literally creating a space where we can all share our thoughts and emotions with each other, and that is really cool. Such a nice space, this comment section.

just a little fun fact (14:14): RM actually has this cute habit of "encouraging" himself in the third person (like "come one namjoon, you can do it" or "oh nice RM, keep going")

Jimin is actually a professional dancer, he majored in contemporary dance.

SUGA is a huge part of BTS, not only he is BTS' music backbone, but also as person he is the one who "always supported the team inside and out" - as RM said. According members SUGA cares about BTS the most. SUGA taught other members many important things, he always supports them and gives advices. You can say SUGA together with Jin raised other member

Another interesting side of Jin is him being serious and standing up for himself, knowing his worth and directly say what needs to be said. He is an advocate for loving oneself and sometimes he gets rebellion and doesn't let ppl command him (be it the company, the media or the fans). He also isn't afraid to touch topics most ppl tend to avoid, even in his on-stage speeches during award shows! He called out ppl who paid their way to the award and shuts up haters directly saying the opposite of what those ppl were trying to force on him. I really admire that side of him

The person singing at the beginning was Jimin -off camera-. Jin has said many times that he doesn’t want to impose himself on his younger brothers by playing the age card. He tends to act the fool because 1) he insists it keeps him young 2) it gets rid of the age hierarchy, and leads to a more natural relationship within the group. He is, however, always ready to jump in and make his authority known. When he does, the others immediately snap to attention, RM included. Their group dynamic is fascinating

He IS indeed a dancer, he trained since middle school in contemporary dance, that’s why he engages with his whole body and on stage he’s insane, you are right

For RM being a good leader is not leading from the front but from the back, he encourages everybody to speak up, and values everybody's opinions equally. He encourages them to talk and answer questions so that everybody has a fair share of opportunities. Thats a reason why we love him so much. And the other members fully trust him, and follow his lead. Jungkook actually joined BigHit because RM was there, even tho he had offers from 7 bigger companys.

it’s funny how you said at 17:56 that “suga does what suga wants” because it’s a running joke in the fandom that “what suga wants, suga gets”. he was the one who predicted getting on billboard and going to the grammys and that really did happen. he’s actually the minstradamus of the group

Jimin has a solo song called Filter. It’s about Jimin’s ability to become whatever you want him to become. You nailed his duality.

i love this suga / yoongi appreciation !! most people take his exterior to an extreme - exaggerating his "coldness" or being so adamant on notifying people that he's quite the opposite that that becomes the only thing they talk about him. he's thoughtful and his humour and lil remarks are very amusing coming from such a calm demeanour. and he's got such a precious, pretty smile too! seeing him smile brightly is just extra rewarding seeing as he's not the most expressive.

suga actually refers to jhope as his portable charger because of how much he energises him hehe, there's been times when suga has been filming something and says he needs jhope to get his energy up lol

I love watching you learn about our guys. I'm amazed how perceptive you are. I am a 63 year old ARMY that has been watching these boys share their selves as they have grown up under the camera. These boys are shining angels that lighten my heart. Where they really shine is on their live stages, where they share their talents with audiences of 40 to 60 thousand. There are several Medleys made fromtheir concerts, I hope to see you reactvto a live performance one day.

I remember SUGA was asked "do you think you'd be better leader than RM?" and he immediately answered that RM is the best leader. SUGA respects RM as a leader a lot. I think SUGA has leader qualities, but he enjoys better being "behind the scene", not as official leader. He will do something important to the team without trying to bring attention to his actions

jin is the oldest yet doesnt use his authority much and likes to joke around a lot in order to relate to the younger members more so they can feel more comfortable around him (its also just apart of his personality). the members do respect him as the oldest but they also feel comfortable joking around and teasing him a lot because he makes them feel relaxed.

RM always talks to himself. Jin does Dad jokes. Suga does whatever he wants. Jhope gives hope and happiness. Jimin is a little mochi. V is a good boy. JK is the maknae.

jungkook is just obsessed with RM in everyway and looks up to him, that's why he's usually always sticking to him and following what RM wants or says

It’s cool how quickly you are catching on to their personalities and group dynamics. You have figured out a lot in just a few videos. RM’s leadership style is very much to encourage the others to do their best and praise them when they do, but sometimes we get to see him getting frustrated with their shenanigans. Jin is the one who herds the strays when they are supposed to be going somewhere and wander off. He also loses his temper but in such an exaggerated way that you can’t take it seriously. The one you have figured the best, in my opinion, is Suga. I can’t wait until you see him being silly. Because he can be so composed and serious, it’s an absolute delight to see him being silly.

When Suga said "you don't need to be funny" he actually was being considerate because J-hope hurt himself and he thought maybe that was embarrassing for him so he made it seem like J-hope did that intentionally to be funny for the show, they always use this phrase when someone falls or makes a mistake on camera, just being there for each other, I enjoyed watching the video so much, thank youu

Suga is “adorably savage” and we love that about him! You have done really good figuring out their personalities with very little observations to this point. Spot on

He is so right for saying Jimin is indeed a professional contemporary and ballet dancer.
And he's right on the jackpot for saying SUGA does what SUGA wants but in ARMY language we call it "What Yoongi Wants Yoongi Gets" we use that phrase when Yoongi aspires something like he verbalizes "I want to top the Billboard Hot 100" and he gets it. Or "I want to travel the world and sold out Stadium Concerts" and he gets it. Whatever SUGA wants, we see to it that we meet it at the end.

They are actually very athletic. Jimin and Jungkook, for example, have black belts in taekwondo and SUGA has red belt. Jimin practised other martial arts like kendo and chinese martial arts. SUGA practised judo. SUGA was also basketball player in high school and his team was 1st in his hometown. Jungkook also enjoys boxing

Jin has a wonderful sense of humour. Through his harmless teasing and warm personality, he makes everyone feel comfortable around him.

1 of the fascinating things with bts is that most of them have a huge duality in their personality. Most people do, but it's even more the case with artists bc there's their duality as people + their stage persona(s)

Jin is the oldest and that plays a huge part in how he acts. He intentionally acts funny because if he doesn't, it could stifle the whole atmosphere of the group. The members appear to respect him and when he does say something seriously, they immediately listen

1) Jimin seems calm.... hahahahaha... boy were you in for a surprise!
2) Jimin, JHope and Jungkook are super- kinesthetic in their expression. They are absolutely phenomenal with physicality.
There was an episode where they were supposed to guess dances from verbal descriptions of the dances and Jin, one of the more verbal and analytical members, shone in that.
Jimin is actually trained in Modern Dance. You should look at some of his live performances. He is very lyrical with his dance... he tells stories and weaves fantasies with his movements.

Jin said run BTS is to entertain the fans so he makes it intentionally more entertaining and fun. He loves making people happy because it makes other himself happy. He has an incredibly high EQ he can read a room very fast and adapt to it. For example RM gets very nervous in english interviews so he always sits next to RM because feels more comfortable when he has Jin around him. Jimin is a very nurturing person he’s the first to ask are you okay he’s also the hugger of the group and yes Jimin studied contemporary dance before joining BTS. I think Jin brings the best side out of Jimin. J-hope’s nickname is sunshine. Also RM is very intelligent and well spoken but can also be a bit goofy and clumsy. Jungkook adores RM he was a fan of him before joining BTS. With V what you see is what you get he said himself in an interview there is zero persona he is always himself

Love your observation about Jimin's leadership skills. He used to be student council president but because he's one of the younger ones in the group, he would usually defer to the older ones. But there are times when his leadership characteristics would come out.

Jin admitted that he tries his best to lighten the mood and be as easy as possible towards the members so that they won't feel pressured around him and can talk to him when needed..

It's definitely in a Korean context that you'll see and understand their personality and bond the best, but so thank you for doing that effort to watch a show in korean

When RM said "open the shop" and Jungkook run toward him it is just natural, because Jungkook love food or snack so much.. you can see clearly if you watch interview or their variety show like RUN BTS, Bon Voyage, In The Soop, etc, he is always eat, food lovers.

Poor Joonie (RM) actually does talk to himself a LOT. It's incredibly endearing.

V is actually effortlessly funny, the more you watch the more you’ll discover that :-)

I love your comment about Jin. He’s the eldest, and I think that’s how he takes care of his younger bros - breaks the ice for them, brings out the fun and let’s them be young. Jin’s my bias!!

Jin’s is known to always be the ice breaker. I have huge respect for that man, he always sacrifice himself for others. He used to wake up really early in the morning to pack lunch for jungkook and drive him to school. He’s very humble and caring does not let fame change his perception of others.

V is kind of a wild card. He’s been really laid back and reserved these past couple of years, but the playful and hyperactive self he grew out of comes to the surface from time to time. RM and many others have said he has a unique perspective, so you’ll sometimes see V’s strange antics fluster the others. It’s part of the reason he does so well in deception games.

Jin is the oldest and from what and from I’ve seen the other members respect him a lot. He’s a singer so it was funny seeing him rap, but aside from that he’s really serious about his job as a performer. He trains a lot to become better at his dancing and singing, being really determined to improve, that’s why he’s my favorite personally. He also makes a lot of jokes, in my opinion, to make sure the mood is light and kinda puts everyone else at ease. He also doesn’t use his age as like a way to get respect and/or to get his way, there’s video that I think really shows this. It’s of him and Tae/V fighting over a specific part of their preformance that isn’t going well, and it shows how he values the others and doesn’t force them to not speak up for themselves because of the age respect thing, it also shows how much they care for each other. I’d be really interested in see your reaction, I barely just found your page so I’m not sure if you’ve seen it or if that’s the type of stuff you normally react to, but if you are willing or interested just look up Jin and V fighting it should be the first video that pops up

Each BTS member is unique, but you’ve presumed right about Suga. He has influenced many people with his many talents, - producing and creating music, performance, rap, wit, and intelligence. Now we can also add sensitivity, integrity and high principles.
When Suga delivers his quick-wit and surprising knowledge, we are enthralled.
When Suga is in an amusing mood, we can’t stop laughing or smiling.
When Suga is serious, we take note and learn from him.

Rm says that sometimes he likes to sit back and watch the members. There was this one Run episode where they were playing a game and about halfway through it he stopped participating and kind just sat back and watched them with that fond expression he tends to have while looking at them lol.

"Jimin could be like a dancer." That's because he's classically trained in contemporary dance. When he really gets going, he's poetry in motion. This is a lot of fun to watch, seeing someone else point out all the little things that I love about these boys.

What makes this group interesting is that their personalities and dynamics evolved because of the experiences they’ve gone through as a group and the position they have with in the group and what they bring into the mix. Good example is JK. He is the youngest and he entered the group at 13. He was naturally shy and introverted. But because he had a really good and stable voice since the beginning and had so much different talent they made him main vocalist, a lead dancer and also a sub rapper....which means during performances he was often at the center of formations and ended up with a lot of solo spots. This would be very difficult for someone who is so young and at the bottom of the age hierarchy. But the guys, specially Jin and V ended up taking some sort of parental role with him. V and Jimin, the next youngest pair, made it their mission to get him out of his shell. Jin took him under his wing and even brought him home to his family when he was feeling down. Then the rest of the guys were always very vocal in their admiration of his many talents calling him the golden maknae...because he is good at everything. This could’ve lead to him being spoiled but it’s the opposite. He became so hard working to live up to their expectations and also very grateful of his hyungs for taking care of him. He has a special relationship with each one and he has said that he became a manifestation of the other 6 guys.
All of them were very different when they started...all had their own baggage but each one brought some unique ability that made them stand out so you end up with 7 superstars that are very confident because they are all equally amazing and are pretty talented as individuals so they do not hesitate to lift each other up. So you don’t feel any jealousy or selfishness in the way they interact. This is what attracts me about them. They can be their true self with each other so as a group they are very entertaining. They do not feel the need to be perfect, to behave or even to perform all the time.
But when you get to know their music you will get a glimpse of their inner selves. Their insecurities, their struggles in mental health and the pressures of fame...then you see their duality. Jin is the jokester...he likes making people laugh, but his solo songs can be dark and introspective. He has his dark side and serious side that he does not like to show the audience. He is actually part of the introvert line with JK and Suga.

16:10 "Jungkook gets a millisecond of a chance to sing, he is gonna sing." is pretty much what exactly JK said lol. his biggest passion is singing and music so in his own words: he deleted the idea of vocal training hour in his head, whether it's in shower, in the car etc. he has been singing every possible minute of 24 hours

It like when you said that age matters in Korean culture, so Jin being the eldest has a lot of power that he can use, but because RM is the leader, Jin is very aware of how he should behave in some ways, he steps back, and often takes time to be the nurturer (he cooks for the boys, and take care of them like a caring big Brother would) he also jokes around and plays with the younger so they don't feel the age gap, leaving space for RM to be the leader. It's also fascinating how in their company, unlike most, the eldest is not the leader of the group, there is usually someone older, so the leader can also have someone to depend on. RM has mentioned that having Jin beside him in foreign interviews makes him calmer and less nervous.
But what Jin does is also very difficult, he is one of the guys but he is still the oldest, and sometimes argument comes because of that slippery slope that he has to balance on. There were discussion on this in their documentary.

Jin is the ice breaker of the group.
When the members seemed nervous, he pulled his WWH (wordwide handsome) card, to make everyone laugh.

YES!! Jin is the more humorous jokester who always keeps the mood light, hobi (jhope) is always energetic and playful that’s why we call hobi “sunshine”

And it's so cool how u got them. I feel jimin has the most interesting personalty bc of his duality. He can be very shy, cute and quiet but also really powerful, loud, elegant and also flirty 😂.
Also so interesting how u pointed jungkook out and it might really be bc of the age gap and that he is the youngest. Also he sees RM as a role model and respects him a lot.

Jimin was singing when he was changing and coming out, and it was also JK before when RM and Jimin were leaving to change. I've heard voice teachers say that Jimin almost has an almost fake sounding voice, a bit robotic but in a good way because his tone is so unique and unheard of. But to make it easier, Jimin's voice is the lighter almost female edge sounding voice, raspy and light but powerful. Jk's is a clear hard hitting tone. He annunciates his words with power. Every syllable being heard.

The person at 6:00 singing was Jimin haha, we all love his voice haha…Also! You were right about Jimin being a contemporary dancer, he has took basic ballet lessons as well. He has amazing core strength and is considered a contemporary dance prodigy before he entered BTS!

You'd be surprised to know that jin is one of the most serious and intimidating off camera. He's an introvert but tends to out himself out to break the ice for the group. He's actually a multilayered person. A really complex persona and mysterious man

Jimin is a ballet and contemporary dancer . he's learnt modern dance . He has the best high vocals and is referred to as having an angelic voice. His beauty is etheral. You can see his live show performance or vlives. He's cute , funny , humble . He motivates his team mates when they are low . He always respects his army.
He has a strong aura which kinda makes you look at him and admire when he's on screen. His personality is angelic . Thats what all the members think abt him .

This is just a peak of Jimin and SUGA throwing shades to each other, they bicker a lot and love getting into each others nerves. But on top of that they have a soft spot for each other and their dynamic is really interesting. Thank you for reacting! hope to see more of bts in the future

RM has a habit of talking to himself in third person whether its on or off camera. 😅 He scolds/praise/encourages himself that way.

BTS is full of layers and nuances. That's one of the keys to their success. Connection. Their allowing fans to watch them being themselves less, joking, singing, even making mistakes, since the beginning of their career is what makes us connect so easy with them. Jin is the oldest but is our "fake maknae" with the bad dad jokes, but he is serious when he have to be; Suga is straightforward but he always shows care and love to them and what Suga wants he gets (we don't rest until he gets it); RM is light and sweet, and his leadership is no about being in the center, is about bringing everyone together; J-Hope actually got that stage name because he chose to bring hope and joy to people, he's our sunshine; Jimin is gratuated at contemporary dance, you got that right, he also is very sweet but on stage he catches fire; V is actually very playful too, he has acted in a drama and although he looks like a mafia (lol) he is very innocent; Jungkook is already a grown man and remains like the BTS's baby, he himself said that he was practically raised by the others six, so he has a lot of respect and affection that only the youngest brother knows how it works. Anyway, it's always good to see people giving a chance to get to know them better, in the end everyone is delighted. I really love the analysis (RM speech at the UN make me cry so hard every time i listen to, can't wait for it!)

RM :- The brainer of the group. He thinks very logically. And he always puts his members before him and always responsible about them. But his uniqueness is he is always clumsy in real life basic things. And his members are always stays his back to protect him all the time. As they say they are like old married cuple who always get eachothers' every movement very quickly and understand 'ok he's up to this'
Jin :- He is the parent of the group. He never uses his 'hyung card' to show his authority. He always try to lighten up his members. He doesn't like to have a gap between elder members and youngers. He always act as a friend with each and everyone. He loves to play with JK alot cz as he's the youngest in his family he always has the same mindset as JK. He always takes responsibility for members and guide them and protect them.
Suga :- He is like a grandfather to members. He is not very active and show affection but they all say he is the person who cares about them the most. He loves his younger members alot like they are his children. Specially he believe Jin is his happy pill beside Jin is his only elder bro in BTS. He always be thankful to Rm as the leader. He call Jhope as his vitamin. He has the deepest love towards members.
Jhope :- They call him the sunshine. He always try to hype members. He always compliment and praise each and every member. He always express his love to members and call them as his most precious thing in the world. All the members' favourite member is Jhope as they said he never changed. Even Rm said Jhope is the silent leader of the group who always guide them. He always care about members safety. He support his memebers by deepest heartedly. He loves his younger members alot. He adore them all the time as they are still his baby brothers.
Jimin :- He is the heart of Bts. He always put his members before him. He always understand his members emotions very quickly. They call Jimin as the nicest person in the world. He always thank his members and love them the most. He hate to be alone and he always try to stick with members. His best friend is V, who they call them as soulmates. He loves and adores JK as his eternal brother.
V :- He's the most unique member in Bts. He has so many moods inside him and they come out at different times. He always get pampered by his members mostly by Jimin, his bff. He space out sometimes and stay blank minded, so members say ' V sleeps with his eyes open'. He gets upset easily for small things and Jimin is the person who gets him quickly. He love his members alot and he loves when they give him attention and praise him. Members love and protect him, even the maknae(the youngest) JK is always protective over him. He's like the real maknae in the group.
JK :- The youngest in the group who gets all the attention and love and pampered by the members. He says he stopped growng mentally when he was 15 when he debuted. They've been living together for more than 10 years. JK says they raised him and he has each members' character inside him. He always thank Rm cz he joined to bts by seeing him rapping. Also he said his only hardship in his life is seeing his elder bros having hardtimes and he can't help them but to watch them. He always shows his love and respect towards members. But they always put him in the first place and he's a little spoiled boy.
They all have very special bond with each and every member. They says they are eachother's home and safe place. They all meant to be 7. They said they fight alot but they made up really quickly. Most importantly they never gets one person's side or interrupt to a fight. They have a saying, when 2 of them are arguing they used to say 'Go out and fight. Come after u made up'. Once Jin said they sometimes talk about to make a village with 7 houses so they can live together forever.

SUGA was actually involved in the game, he was making heart with his legs, not just sitting :)

I used to try and find which ones were a bit distant but I’ve found that they all truly enjoy each other and appreciate each other. It’s insane how much they balance and understand each other, and trust me they all have their quiet moments but I can assure you they are all really loud and hyper in different moments. All I can say is that they’re all very emotionally intelligent and the more you see of them the more you understand. I like how you really notice yoongi/suga not many people understand him. 💜love ur reactions

V is actually going through a bit of early-twenties growing pains. He is coming into his own and growing into his own person, which involves in his case pulling back and observing. Jungkook is really a loving lad... what makes him happiest is seeing his Hyungs happy. It is partly deferential but mostly he shows his love to his brothers by going along with them. Jin actually teases the heck out of JK and uses this humor to break JK out of deference and turns him into the evil maknae he can be on occasion.
And JK ran for snacks because he LOVES snacks... boy really loves his snacks.

I actually think that focusing a bit more on Taehyung (V) in another BTS video could be very interesting as he is the member who most people have the hardest time describing personality wise. For the longest time, he was easily the most outgoing and seen as the fun social butterfly of the group who drew fans in. In recent years, however, he has talked about becoming more mature and, as a result, oscillates between being very quiet and shy in some settings and very open and loud in others.

i think that run bts is one of the best things big hit ever decided to do for the boys, you can get a good glimpse of how they are with each other and in general. They have created a comfortable space for the boys, and you can see that they're not nervous and in general relaxed.
