THIS IS IN MY HUMBLE OPINION. If anyone has been watching them FOREVER, they would know and understand their dynamic. First of all, they have known one another for a VERY long time. Second, they have been together for a long time. Joe is always reserved and cool. If Joe wanted to take a solo vacation, he could as could Alena. They balanced one another out well. Love this family. They have made a very nice life for themselves ❤
This is weird. Looks like she’s creating problems for no good reason: nameless, passportless babies and potential for husband to be nabbed into military service for two years. Felt strange. Anyway, they Alena enjoys having a lot on her plate.
While all you said is true, it did seem like he would've been excited for a solid trip as a surprise. I don't think he's sad, but him noting that the kids would be there stood out to me. I could be wrong though.

I think a lot of people feel as if they know them personally and just because they allow us in on some of their life doesn't mean that we know them personally.
Exactly. They have stated multiple times that they have known each other for a long time even before getting married. If they didn’t wanna be together, they wouldn’t be. Joe is just not super expressive like that, he already said it multiple times over the years. People want them apart so bad because they don’t understand how Alena and Joe’s personalities don’t clash.

Alena is absolutely correct about the mandatory military service. The family registry is a whole thing in Korea. My brother was drafted even though our family renounced our korean citizenship.

That man needs a 3 day retreat in Arizona just relaxing and doing what makes him happy. There is nothing wrong with some alone time to check in with yourself and key in on your internal and mental needs . But this trip will be amazing as usual . Joe needs a trip by himself! I love traveling alone, and used to do that when I was married, with a family too. We were petty poor, but I used to save up for a year in advance, just to get that trip on my own, to gather srength and energy , for the coming year. It definitely looks like he needs it!

So for those who might not know: Koreans citizens that have dual citizenship have the option of choosing to get rid of their Korean citizenship or keeping their Korean citizenship when it come to military. The only idol I know about so far that keep is Korean citizenship and went to the military is Ok Taecyeon of 2pm. ( The military is in a haywire right now though cause two huge things happened surrounding it)
