Chim Chim's Suga Kookies I think during lotto promotions kai was injured so he couldn’t participate so that’s why in all their performances it’s Lay performing and if Lay wasn’t there kai took his place. And as for Lay when he was a trainee he used to tie the sandbags around his waist to become a better dancer but it eventually damaged his waist permanently and occasionally that pain comes back and in this performance u can see that he started crouching and touching his waist and u can tell he was in extreme pain ( but he still aced his performance) and when sehun and chanyeol help lay to jump up for his part u can tell that they noticed and that’s why they didn’t push him up really hard and that’s why lay didn’t really jump for his part.

Kai at the time injured his leg and didn't participate in lotto promotions that's why lay was covering for him. And lay has suffered pain on his waist ever since predebut and it returns sometimes, During the lotto promotions exo's schedule was so hectic he had to keep dancing all the time and that's why the pain appeared again.

Honestly, none of the members even seem to be having fun on stage anymore. Usually, they'd be smiling or smirking at the camera every once and a while, but you can tell that this performance took a lot of effort to do, considering their condition. Like, Sehun even gave up on lip-syncing, and Lay can barely do some of the moves. (i'm aware this was a month ago, but that doesn't really help much, does it?)
How about waiting until all the members are fully rested and in proper condition, instead of forcing them to do this half-assed stage that gives off the impression that they're not even trying? Even though everyone seems to be struggling at some point, you can still tell they're doing their best. I would much rather wait a few weeks (or months, even) and see them be able to perform at their best, why must you make everything happen now? It's not a race, EXO's done enough this year.

Claudia Estrada Villa this isn't Sm's fault, as a trainee Lay tied sandbags to his waist to progress faster and now he'll have occasional pain in his waist so he did this to himself although not purposely . And this is from a while ago so he's fine now

And None of knows what goes behind the scene so judging SM is a bit harsh. There are harsher conditions out there and we should be grateful that lay isn't unbearably hurt.

UPDATE. Lay isn't hurt. Not right now at least. He got better. It's NOT SM FAULT FOR NOT WANTING TO KILL HIM. If Lay were to undergo surgery he would undergo a LARGE risk of dying.
