One thing you can't help but love about old school kpop is that more older groups were around. Like Kahi debuted at in her late 20s-- After School debuted as GROWN WOMEN. Most groups these days are so young...
I'm not saying it's a bad thing because I do enjoy a lot of the newer groups!! (I'm rooting for Gugudan, Pristin and OMG especially!) but atm there's not really many Grown Women groups out right now, and I miss that...

I was 14 when I found F(x) half the members were young like me back then but then we had someone like Victoria WAY OLDER.
These days releasing a grown woman group one appeal to the young ones. I’m now 24

This is like my favourite song from them ever ever. There's something about Kahi that's so appealing. Like I feel she gives off this aura of reliability and strength. She was a great leader!

Kahi, bekah & JungAh will always be my favourites. These 3 were & will always be after school.
Same here, tho I do like Raina's voice, for me without those 3 AS isn't the same anymore. I liked Nana in the group, probably because she was mostly a visual but she wasn't a bad addition. I didn't like UEE though.
Bekah is my bias, I miss AS 😭

@@OlaAAdam oh back then she was very wooden, I don't hate her but she was hard to enjoy in the earlier days and they kept shoving her in the lead instead of showcasing the other talented members when she just wanted to act. Like it was a lot during the days. I don't feel anything negative towards UEE now but back then it was still hard.
@@BleedingLiar17 but that doesn’t sound fair to her , besides she always remained loyal to AS and remained with them till their las comeback , she didn’t just run off to act and she really worked hard to improve . But I respect and acknowledge your opinion .
2023 is coming to an end but After School is still yet the best stage performers that Kpop has to offer

요즘은 이런 그룹이 없다.. 무대에 집중할수 밖에 없는 절도있는 안무. 노래와 합이 아주 잘맞음. 요즘은 그냥 애들 장난같음. 귀여운척 이쁜척.
음악, 춤, 패션, 스타일까지 완벽한 그룹이다. 여중고생 그룹은 똑같이는 절대 못할 것이다. 과연 누가 따라할 수 있을까?

jungah is probably one of the most talented girl group members out there. both main vocal and main dancer is an unbelievable achievement!
+Joceline Nguyen Main dancer was Kahi back then, she became main dancer after Kahi left, and Main vocal was Raina, she was only main vocal before Raina
And she became leader after Kahi left.
Raina was brought in because Yungah couldn't hit the high notes. That is why Raina's solo vocal is so good.

pledis stopped promoting them since 2015 & a lot of members left the group... but officially they aren't disbanded yet
girl with ponytail was kahi, the leader. she's now married with two kids~ however, you could still watch her as a mentor in produce 101 season 2 (2017)
that and everyone doesn’t like UEe 🤷🏻♀️ or at least they didn’t like her while she was in the group. She wanted to be an actor but debuted as an idol before she got a start in acting... by everyone i meant fans, her band mates, and tv shows... etc

@@_lillianma97 Uee has always been one of the popular members of after school though. Although she did get critised a lot at the beginning for her deadpan expression on stage but she improved a lot. She also transitioned really well to acting. Kahi is my bias though.
Halimah she may be popular for having a nice body but the way she gets treated on the tv shows she’s invited on says otherwise. Lizzy trash talked her on a variety show and got criticized for using her band mates misfortune to her advantage.
just my opinion - i’m glad she’s out of pledis and after school. hopefully she can find happiness and peace for herself

I miss the old kpop because of their talent. I mean the old GG and BG have the best quality, especially for their vocal.
it's interesting that before kahi and uee were like the most popular (i wasn't a fan in those times but it seems like that seeing this video) and nana, the most popular now, was always behind and didn't stand out
Nana was so skinny at the time of Because of You. By the time of In the Night Sky with After School Red, Nana was smoking hot!
Nana was a new member at the time (along with Raina, but Raina was main vocalist so she got more screen time since she had lots of parts in the song). Whereas Nana was just a sub vocalist and at the time... Jooyeon, Uee were the main visual members. Kahi was the center. Nana really only gained popularity after Orange Caramel's debut.
