It's crazy to think about how long ago that was and how much they have come along from being rookies 😭

This was handled so well. I mean it's still so sad, but they gave us time AND a last song. For every other group so far it was like "hey we're disbanded now. You will never hear from us again." That's why I'm so thankful right now.

This video gave me goosebumps, you can see how they developed over the years and it made me cry and I'm not even a big fan of Sistar (but I love most of their songs). What more to those who are fans of sistar from the very start? To all Star1 out there, it may be heartbreaking but I just want you to know that Sistar will always be one of the respected 2nd Generation Idols that helped spread kpop around the world and they will always be remembered by the kpop world.

Day 1 without SISTAR 05/06: only cried once today

The fact that many people come to this video and give their sad feeling about SISTAR's disbandment makes me feel touched, it is prove that SISTAR are being loved by many people even though they're not a hardcore fans/STAR1😭❤ thanks for you guys, and THANKS SISTAR for filling the KPOP Industry with your talent and beautiful performances❤

Songs that captured the essence of certain individuals:
Soyou - Alone
Hyorin - Loving U
Bora - Touch My Body
Dasom - Lonely
I say this because during those live performances you can really feel each of their essences come out whether they had more parts, danced better, or just looked better with those performances than other songs. For example Soyou really brought out the signature look in "Alone", Hyorin looked like she had a lot of fun in "Loving U" in Hawaii, There was a hard debate/decision for Bora with "Gone Not Around Any Longer/Touch My Body" but she danced wonderfully in "Touch My Body" and looked like she had a lot of fun with the dance and her part, Dasom definitely brought out the essence in "Lonely" and the song felt more sad with her finally given more parts in this song. I understand that they are SEVERAL other really good songs that MAY ALSO capture what I explained previously but this is MY opinion. Also I only chose ONE song per SISTER. I also will miss them! I've followed them since their trainee audition dancing to a Wonder Girls song in a dance battle and since the first performance of "How Dare You" live! Will miss you SISTAR!!! There will never be another group that can SING, DANCE and VIBE as well as you guys did! I truly regret not going to LA KCON when they were the surprise group to come to the U.S.!!!!!! Now I unfortunately I will not get another chance!!!

On a more serious note, the ladies of SISTAR have always been known for their business-like professional working relationship. They all had the same goal so they stick together, and they are definitely friendly to each other, but you'll never see them acting like the closest besties because, well, they aren't and they prefer not to act like that, instead just behaving naturally as they would towards each other, which is far more commendable imo. Soyou, Bora and Dasom are all used to Hyolyn getting almost all the parts of their songs, and they were given other things to do by the agency - Soyou had successful collaborations (one of them, "Some" featuring Junggigo, was even the most successful song in Korea on 2014!), Dasom had a string of starring roles in dramas and Bora is a variety queen.
Despite their sexy-natured concepts and comebacks, SISTAR stays classy and strays from group-related scandals. They also promised that, were a member to leave the group, then they all will disband as a whole. Which is why, when Hyolyn wanted to focus on her solo career, they all decided that eight years as an idol group together is enough. Bora, Dasom and Soyou all agreed with the decision and they remained professional about it. That is why, compared to the likes of Wonder Girls or 2NE1, SISTAR's goodbye wasn't just a final song and then a puff of smoke, it was an entire era. They let fans know that they will disband soon, they gave us time to cope, they gave one last beautiful era together and they left a legacy. Not a disbanded group because the members hate each other, not because they got tangled in scandals and definitely not because one member got greedy and made the entire group collapse.
Instead, SISTAR ended just like how they started - a professionally arranged conception, fronted by four talented ladies. They left us a string of all-time Summer Bops, they even turn sad songs into ultra-sexy concept (hello Gone Not Around Any Longer), they achieved NINE consecutive number-one singles, something not even IU, Bigbang or Twice can break, and they DEFINITELY showed to everyone how to disband properly. Thank you SISTAR for going against all odds and made your fans priority, even in the brink of disbanding

The first song I heard from them is shady girl. Back then I saw heechul starring in the mv so I clicked on it. Been a big fan of sj since 2009. My point is, if i didn't see him in the mv I don't think I would have clicked on that mv and fell in love with this girl group. Aside from heechul starring in the mv; I loved the song and loved sistar. There are other sj members that starred in other girl group mv but I never fell in love with those girl groups. I'm thankful for heechul starring in their mv or else I might of lucked out on discovering such talented singers and actresses. They are talented in many ways. It shouldn't matter who starred in their mv because they are talented and will keep shinning in their own way. I love you sistar, thank you for such a wonderful 7 years, and I will always support you in your individual activities.
By the way, they are the first girl group I fell in love with. Before them I did hear songs from gg and wonder girls. They have great songs too but I couldn't fall in love with them like I could with sistar

this is a one great girl group, even if you are from another fandom, you cant help but to respect these girls, i cant believe how time flies, how ill be missing that distinctive vocal, they are one of the legends of the early generation girl group, and now that they exit the stage so gracefully. wish them good luck for the whatever works they do from now on, hyorin would be a solo singer probably, bora most likely will be a full time actress. dont know about the other 2 tho.

They produced so many great songs. It's so sad to think that one of the greatest girl group has disbanded. Almost all groups nowadays focuses on being too cute unlike SISTAR who focuses on different vibes. Thank you MBC for making me cry. Can't believe that summer is here and SISTAR is no more.

its been 8 months and it still feels like yesterday when kpop got the news . I remember crying all day when I found out the news of the legendary group SISTAR disbanding . Kpop wont be the same ! And just thinking that SISTAR stans or kpop in general will NEVER get another legendary SISTAR moments makes me cry more . No one will ever compare to SISTAR ! Summer will never be the same without our QUEENS #thankyouSISTAR for everything !! ♡♡

Debuted with Push Push in summer 2010, SISTAR managed to catch everyone's attention for performing with live singing. They came back with their 2nd single Shady Girl which received positive responses​ from audience. Then here's How Dare You, their 3rd single is their 1st win which unfortunately they did not receive the trophy because they were not present. Ma Boy made the group more popular especially with their iconic body rolling choreo and the use of chair. That unit debut started Sistar to perform in high heels. They also caught attention for being sporty, winning on different tracks in sports events. So Cool topped on charts and the first # 1 of the inaugural Top 100 KPOP Billboard Chart which earned their 2nd win receiving the trophy for the first time. Then here's Alone comeback in 2012 recognized as one of the most viewed kpop music video in 2012 which also peaked on charts, cementing their status as one of the top tier groups together with SNSD and 2ne1 by Sports Chosun. They thanked the fans by a follow up comeback​ in summer which was Loving U which started the SISTAR summer magic. The song became a summer anthem and SISTAR became a household name in South Korea. Then after that, SISTAR's momentum continued with subunit's Gone Not Around Any Longer topping the charts, Give It To Me, Touch my body, I Swear, Shake It and I Like That- all those summer songs charted in music charts which achieved all kill #1 position and some of it achieved perfect all kill and received multiple wins in music shows. I always knew this day was gonna eventually come, I mean what would you expect? Them dancing on the stage in their 50's? I thought they may have a few more years left in them. I am saddened though. Sistar and Sistar 19 were my gateway into KPop. They will always be my girls! And they beat a lot of odds, going up against many other groups, such as 2ne1, SNSD, Kara, Wondergirls, Miss A and many more. And they had many #1s, so in all they were a success.. They went out on top. Whether it was Hyorin's decision or not, I wish them the best, and I believe there are all on good terms. And I'm sure they are far from done with showbiz!
