I genuinely feel horrible for all the things mel had to go through but I’m glad she made such an amazing album with it

I don’t understand why this is everyone’s least favorite. People keep skipping it, but I feel like this is one of Melanie’s most heartbreaking and open songs. I feel like crying every time I listen to it, and you can feel the sadness in her voice. This is so beautiful.

Gosh, I’ve listened to Melanie since I was 12, I’m now 21. Her voice has always sent chills down my spine. Her voice is so unique. It’s so beautiful.

LEECHES is so underrated. A lot of people simply don’t understand what it’s about or how meaningful it is.
Melanie wrote the song about toxic people in LA and Hollywood. A lot of popular artists (who usually live in one if those places) feed off other peoples pain. They can be greedy, only caring about themselves and the money their making. Melanie compares them to leeches, clinching onto people and sucking their blood.
Although I cannot relate to this song, I’m very happy that Mel sang about this topic 🤍🌬️

This has to be the saddest/one of the saddest songs Melanie has ever created. I'm so happy that this song wasn't scrapped too, it's so good and it doesn't deserve to be thrown in the pile of her other unreleased songs.

This song is a catalyst for all the pain and suffering she’s experienced. It acts as a method of cleansing, an outlet for her past negative experiences.

The fact that in the end I paused the song because I thought it was my parents yelling🧍‍♀️
This song is heartbreaking, I love it so much, Mel did an amazing job with this album

I feel horrible cause I know as a 14 yo exactly what she’s talking about, and it sucks cause most of us don’t get justice, the fact she can make it into a song is sad cause this is probably the way she copes, and as someone who understands I’m here for it cause this is the most underrated song she’s had so far in my perspective, I love you Mel, I swear I understand

You can honestly hear the pain in her voice the most in this song compared to any of her other songs.

Heavily underrated. This song made my partner cry. He was confused at first and then you could see the realization. Now he sings this with me whenever it comes on and we tear up everytime. If we look at each other, forget it; waterfall of tears. THIS SONG IS RAW AND REAL!

I love how this song is 3:21. Its an angel number meaning encouragement and support. Melanie's spirits are supporting her even in her sad times like in this song.

All the songs of this album are so powerful, emotionally strong. You can feel the pain in this one. It gives me chill through the whole song, and the ghostly-instrumental helps to feel it. I thought I wouldn't like this song because it was a calm rhythym but omg...it is so powerful, I love it so much. One of my favorites tbh

The "leeches" thats Melanie's referring too is us the fans. Yapping to seem official is saying that things are and arent going to be out when we dont know that so we make ot official that it is or isnt happening. How much blood can you draw with your claws is symbolizing to how much information can you get out of me. Also gnaw on my bones no marrow left is saying weve taking all the information out and are waiting for more so we can leak all the information we get.
Leeches is an amazing song and is very underrated in the album. One of the most beautiful songs and only some people realize it. We love you Melanie❤❤

I relate so much to this song
I feel someone is abusing my kindness and trust. I feel that person is humiliating me.
My friends mostly leave me behind, I guess it’s because I’m too sensitive for them.
At this point I feel that my sadness is not taken seriously, I sometimes end up crying but that person doesn’t care. She just jokes.

This is one of THE most saddest song mel's ever made. I don't get why people hate this new era of her. She spent 4 years on this , and this is what she gets? If people payed attention to the lyrics like they did in dollhouse ep, crybaby, k-12 AND after school ep. And the soundtrack at the end was terrifying. I like to believe that it was oliver tree screaming, cause if you pay a little attention it kinda sounds like him. The emotion she put in this is amazing. The lyrics are so good that this song was stuck in my head the WHOLE day. The amazing fact about Melanie is that her songs get stuck in your head. Melancholic, dreamy, haunting... Melanie is chilling and absolutely beautiful. I've been a casual listener for a long time, since I got a "Now that's what I call hits" CD. and "Dollhouse" was featured at the very end, because she was that CD's featured new-artist.
I'd keep playing it over and over.
They're such a unique and creative individual. And I could feel and hear all of the subliminal messages they put in all of their work. It's very admirable. Like I may invest in this album with how much this genre really matches well with the emotions in her voice.
I look forward to more works if Melanie still plays around with this music genre. Because I'm enamored with these songs and their incredible vocal power.
But if she goes back to making fun bops, I'll stick around for those too.

i saw on a comment of another video that the ending of this song is actually melanie and oliver fighting. you can mostly hear oliver’s voice which kinda makes sense. another thing is that the song after this is Battle of The Larynx which (this is according to another comment) is about how o,over would come home drunk and angry. this song is so beautiful and explains the scenario so well ❤
