LYRICS:
Rumour spreadin' a-'round in that Texas town
'bout that shack outside La Grange
and you know what I'm talkin' about.
Just let me know if you wanna go
to that home out on the range.
They gotta lotta nice girls ah.
Have mercy.
A haw, haw, haw, haw, a haw.
A haw, haw, haw.
Well, I hear it's fine if you got the time
and the ten to get yourself in.
A hmm, hmm.
And I hear it's tight most ev'ry night,
but now I might be mistaken.
hmm, hmm, hmm.
Ah have mercy. - 음악

Gary Walton sadly you caught me at the wrong time for when it comes to writing xD. My hands are killing me
One day I was in my dad's car and while he was driving this song started to play on the radio. Trust me, fast and furious was nothing compared to what happened
What kind of car?
piou77piou lol💙
Brooooo that's truuuuue.I'm in the car with my dad rn,he's crazy.
Same thing with me 4 years ago. I never knew what to search in google to find this song
Your dad lied if he was referring to Obama's crap fast and furious.
Dusty didn’t die, he just went to his home out on the range
💓 nice
Seems we might been mistaken
Came along to say 'so long Dusty'
out on the GRANGE
Beautiful
I remember hearing this as a kid a million times, my dad was a huge zz top fan, and I always thought his music was lame ( was in high school in the 90s) and now here I am at 42 myself and I have their complete catalog and listen to ZZ on KRplus constantly. I had to grow up to realize how great this band is!!! Timeless.
You are a man of culture, sir.
I always knew. My dad is a big music head and got me into a lot of classic rock as a kid.
Haha I was the same way w my moms music now I love the songs she used to play lol
I'm 20 years older than you. When I was a teen I used to think 50s rockabilly was lame.
I don't obsess about it, but when the algorithm puts in my que, I usually listen to it.
When I do, a smile comes to my face when I think back about when I thought it was lame.
So now are you really grown up? At 42? 😏
Definitely one of the greatest bands of all time
and one of the best songs period 👌

You must be joking , my all time favourites and for me THE best band ever CCR ( John Fogerty )
What an absoulutely progressive song for 1973. Still sounds fresh today. RIP Dusty.
Hello friend. I am curious to know what you mean by "progressive", as my impression is that, in those years it was a normal genre and there were many comparable strong rock songs.
My greetings, companion. As the person writing this message, I would be very much pleased to acquire the knowledge as to what it is you mean by "progressive", since the information that I have gathered is that, in the time period of a couple of years before and after this song was released, it was a genre that was of common appearance in the media, and there were also other rock songs that could be compared to this and be classified as having a solid structure.
Kind salutations, acquaintance. As the humanoid individual currently typing this text on an electronic device with the intent to send it through an online network, it would send satisfying chemicals through my brain if I were subjected to the prior required information needed to determine this selection of notes and percussion as "progressive." Based on the current historical information I have been informed of, this rehearsed and practiced set of notes, commonly referred to as "music," was recorded and released to the public in the Gregorian year of 1973 A.D. This would mean that it was practiced, rehearsed, recorded, and released in an era of time which saw several pieces of music, and musical artists themselves, atop the music charts and touring the world with music that could be compared, if not deemed more progressive, than this piece of music composed by three men known as Billy F. Gibbons, "Dusty" Hill, and Frank Beard, while still having a structure, melody, and timing with the ability to alter the brain chemistry, and therefore consider it pleasing to the ear.
Greetings, esteemed acquaintance. As I, an individual bearing human-like characteristics, am presently engaged in the act of articulating this textual composition by means of an electronic device, with the intention of transmitting it through the vast expanse of an interconnected online network, I must express that an indescribable sensation of delight would course through the intricate neural pathways of my cerebral cortex, should I be provided with the necessary antecedent information requisite for ascertaining the categorization of the aforementioned assemblage of harmonious tones and rhythmic percussions as an exemplar of "progressive" nature.
Taking into consideration the historical knowledge that has been imparted unto my cognitive faculties, I have come to understand that this meticulously arranged sequence of auditory expressions, commonly referred to as "music," was captured and disseminated to the general populace in the epoch corresponding to the year 1973 A.D. within the Gregorian calendar. This temporal designation situates its inception, rehearsal, recording, and subsequent public release within an era teeming with an abundance of musical compositions and virtuosic practitioners who occupied exalted positions on the summits of musical charts, captivating audiences around the globe with their own creations that may, upon comparison, potentially eclipse, if not unequivocally surpass, the level of progression exhibited within this particular musical opus authored by the illustrious triumvirate comprising William F. Gibbons, commonly known as Billy F. Gibbons, as well as "Dusty" Hill and Frank Beard.
Despite its formalized structure, identifiable melodic motifs, and precisely measured temporal cadence, this composition possesses the extraordinary capability to instigate alterations within the intricate alchemy transpiring within the complex network of neural connections within the human brain. Consequently, this harmonic amalgamation has the innate capacity to evoke an overwhelming sense of auditory gratification, thereby endowing it with the designation of being aesthetically pleasing to the auricular senses of discerning listeners.
@@edwinlundmark I love the internet

FUCK FUCK FUCK. I am heartbroken that Dusty is gone. My friends and I grew up in SE Texas in the 60's and 70's and always felt that ZZ Top was our band, because they were one of us. Just ran into Frank a few months ago at Chili's while picking up some food. ZZ Top was the on the A side of the soundtrack of our lives. I am devastated.
Same here .Saw them many times in Austin
Sad day😢😥✌️

Among great southern rock bands, ZZ Top were my favorite. They rocked hard with the best of them, and did so with style, class, and professionalism. R.I.P. Dusty Hill.

I dunno... Came across John Lee Hookers lawsuit vs ZZTop re: his Boom Boom single featured in The Blues Brothers film. Honestly thought JLH was on LaGrange.
@@imdm8698 I love the blues so JLH, I agree, is amazing and the boom boom song does sound a lot like La Grange but I still prefer ZZ over him with this song - just my own opinion.
“Baby’s done a bad bad thing” kinda sounds similar

There is something magical about a three-piece band. ZZ Top worked it like no one else! Fantastic band!! Gotta love Texas!
Fun Fact: The only member of ZZ Top to not have a beard had the last name *Beard*

Hap, it's blues for white people, really serious blues.
@Varun Chandra there are only 3 races, Mongoloid, Caucasoid, & Negroid. All of those "brown" people of South/Central America, are just as white as the queen of England. Search: "Three races of mankind". There has been talk of adding a 4th race, Eskimos, and the American Indian, beyond that all of T Roosevelt's "little brown brothers" still qualify as white.

Real Music! RIP Dusty
As a guitarist myself I have so much respect for Billy. I was able to learn Hendrix riffs without too much difficulty but Billy always challenged me with his right hand technique. Then I changed my approach. Using ultra light strings and finger style with a very light touch I was able to achieve that feel and tone. He also inspired me to play harmonica when i was young with Mexican Blackbird. Kim Wilson also inspired my harp playing with Scratch My Back. Texas and Piedmont Blues are pure MAGIC. Hard and heavy without the flash of Chicago or Memphis.
RIP Dusty!
