Dyson Airstrait vs Dyson Corrale Straightener

  • Dyson hair tool showdown: Dyson Airstrait straightener vs dyson corrale cordless hair straightener. Which hair tool styler will prevail? I’m demoing each dyson hair straightener on dry hair. Dyson Airstrait even though it’s a hair dryer that takes wet hair to dry it also has a dry hair mode feature with boost temperature to style or refresh hair when it’s dry. So, naturally I wanted to compare the hair straighteners to each other and see how the dyson hair tools would perform all day long. I share my hair results at the end of the day to see how each dyson hair straightener side held up all day long.

    I’d be interested to see a test of the corrale on blow dried hair vs the airstraight starting on wet hair to see if using it straight from wet is more like using conventional straighteners in terms of effectiveness and volume.

    Thank you so much for this helpful review. I have not used any straighteners but love my Dyson Airwrap and so I wanted to try a Dyson straigtener. I am going to try the Airstraight because I do want a little more body. It is confusing to read about them online. Your review really helped. I also want to avoid a traditional straightener because I am worried about hair damage.

    If you use the Corrale on the top layer of Airstrait hair, does it get the volume of the Airstrait with the shine and sleekness of the Corrale?

    Did you apply any tension while using the airstrate? I have the air wrap and when I want to dry and straighten my hair I have to pull on my ends and run the dryer hard to achieve that straight look.

  • @Mariam-Mina
    @Mariam-Mina 9 개월 전 +1

    Thanks for the comparison. For your hair type, both have very similar result so I think airstrait wins coz the high temperature of straightener causes heat damage over time but airstrait technology is hot air. The question is, how long it lasts with that look? I’m sure the straightener will be the winner. I use different hair straighter, my hair stays sleek and straight until I wash it

    I have been using the airstrait all summer on my thick, curly hair and have been amazed how straight it gets with NO FRIZZ, wet to dry. LOVE IT! I tried it out on my sister’s thick, wavy hair at the beach, and she was shocked that she went an entire day and woke up the next morning with it still straight and without frizz! It definitely works on other hair types as well. 😊

    • @CC-bw2rp
      @CC-bw2rp 9 개월 전 +4

      Hair always get's frizzy when the humidity is high, no hairtool can prevent that ever / can not compete with that Because the hair scales then open, where the moisture comes in between and your own hair structure can be seen. if you don't have curls but your hair is curled, it will be straight and vice versa. this is also why your hair lasts longest when you style it from wet or damp to dry and that it always sags when it gets damp.

  • @RDens4d
    @RDens4d 6 개월 전 +17

    I live in a tropical climate and the Airstraight actually prevents my hair from frizzing, unlike the Corral. What the Corral does that my Airstraight can’t do, is curl and beach wave my hair. So for that reason, both are worth keeping. But for beach waves, I use the Airstraight, then go back in with the Corral.

    Great review!! I have all the dyson hair tools with the airstrait being the newest addition to my dyson hair tool family. I have fine but curly textured hair that is highlighted so heat protection and less damage is very important to me. You are correct, the airstrait will not leave curly textured hair ready for the day, as one will need to follow-up with a heat tool, like the Corrale for a more polished look. Personally, I do not love the AirStrait as a wet to dry hair tool for a couple reasons. One, it takes too long to get my hair dry since o have to use much smaller sections than I would with my SuperSonic or Airwrap. Two, I still have to follow-up with a hot tool, like my Corrale. With that, I have found the best way for my hair type is to blow dry my hair with either the SuperSonic or Airwrap then use the Airstrait. It leaves me with a beautifully smooth look and if I want more body, I will just pin curl it and it looks gorgeous. Also, I live in Virginia where it is very humid and I find that using the Airstrait my hair is far more humidity resistant than with a flat iron alone.
    Thanks for yet another thorough review!!!❤

    You know, you can use the air straight for a blow out look. Just put a roller in each section after your dry it. Make sure your hair is still hot. I’m guessing you could do the same thing on dry hair. Smaller the roller the more curl you get.

    The "Airwrap" has removable attachments, so (if you manufacture something like that) the "Airstrait" attachment would be attached to the "Airwrap"

    Cara mia non professionista, allora io sono parrucchiere professionista da ben 35 anni, e uso il supersonic Dyson da quando è in commercio qui in Italia. Ho anche la piastra Corrale e vedendo il tuo video, ci sono molti errori su quello che dico.
    In primis la piastra ad aria e’ stata creata per asciugare i capelli da bagnato, senza passaggi di spazzole e piastre classiche. Quindi un solo strumento per tutto. Quindi non c’è da fare nessun tipo di paragone, perché non è una piastra. Essendo un prodotto nuovo completamente non ha termini di paragone con nessuno, tantomeno con la piastra corrale. Non confondere le due tecnologie che sono molto diverse.
    Poi quando dici che i capelli rimangono più spessi usando la piastra ad aria, è normalissimo che siano così i capelli, le squame non sono state chiuse perfettamente come farebbe la piastra Corrale, perché è solo Aria che asciuga e rimane comunque un po’ di umidità all’interno del capello, quindi le scuame del capello rimangono più aperte e senti il capello più grosso, ma non è un buon segno. Dovresti fare anche un video sulla durata della tua asciugatura, perché sono convinto al 100% che l’asciugatura fatta con la piastra Corrale ha durato molto di più rispetto alla piastra ad Aria. Quindi quando fai un video tutorial accertati di farlo in modo corretto, se no così non è assolutamente chiaro.
